Peaceful & Cosy One Bedroom Cottage For Two People In Malton/Pickering Area
Our property is a charming traditional one bedroom Coach House. It has been fully modernised and is now a lovely peaceful and quiet cottage. It is furnished to a high standard and provides every comfort, including central heating, a Smart TV, hairdryer, radio/alarm clock, dual electric blanket (for those chilly nights) and an electric fan for those unusual hot nights! We even provide a complementary welcome pack and bottle of wine to help you unwind after your journey. The cottage has a "Visit Britain" 4 Star rating. If you would like to pre-order a delivery of organic produce (much of it local) before your stay, this can be arranged by contacting the cottage owner. The Bay Horse Pub is situated close to the cottage and is a cosy locally renowned pub boasting three open fires on those colder days. It is open 6 days a week (closed Monday) from midday until 11.00pm and sells a large selection of real ales. Food is served Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm - 2pm and from 5pm - 8pm and Sunday Lunch between 12pm - 4pm. Their regular Tapas menu served only on a Friday evening is highly recommended and booking is essential.

We had a great stay in this idealic little village with a pub literally across the road. The location was perfect to explore Yorkshire. Pam & Richard were very welcoming and available but left us to ourselves which we appreciated. The house was warm, the shower hot and the bed comfy. All that you could want.
Cottage very comfortable and well furnished. Plently of plug points for chargers, hairdryers, etc. Hosts, Pam and Richard, were very friendly and helpful. Ideal position for visiting York, walking in the Wolds or visiting the coast.
As per the title, this property lived up to it. Exceedingly well provisioned and maintained. The local small village pub does excellent food and a great atmosphere.
We, an elderly couple from the Netherlands, had early December. a very nice stay in the Old Coach House at Burythorpe in a remote area. The owners do everything to let you feel at home. Everything you need is there and even more.
Pam and Richard’s cottage ranks at the high end of holiday experiences. From the good nights sleep to well equipped kitchen to comfortable lounge…and private off street parking. We spent 4 weeks at our “home” away from home. All appliances worked…not one single hiccup. And North Yorkshire was a gem to behold! So much to see and do. Thank you Pam and Richard!
The cottage was delightful. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. We enjoyed relaxing in the little garden which has private parking at the back, always a bonus.
Pam sent detailed and clear instructions about how to access and park at their cottage. Lots of additional information was also available about eating, walking and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside.
This holiday will live long in our memory.

Ideal location, Kitchen too small to cook a real meal, 2 bathrooms in ad, 1 v small shower room only
Delightful location, and loved being in this part of Yorkshire. But won't return to the cottage as it is a lot smaller than advertised, the kitchen is only big enough for one person, microwave door opens onto hotplate of cooker, which showed signs it had happened to others. Fortunately really good pubs to eat in locally. Two bathrooms advertised but none provided, only a very small shower room which of course had the only toilet as well. So again only one person could use at a time. Fortunately these things didn't spoil our break. It's just disappointing when you are expecting something better for the price.

Comfortable cottage in small Yorkshire village perfect for 2 people.
This cottage is like the Tardis. Much bigger on the inside than it first appears. Small compact kitchen with built-in oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge. Shower room with recently installed shower. Spacious lounge diner with 2 very comfortable two-seater sofas. The large bedroom with king size bed is upstairs. The only recommendation we would give is to add a small plug-in night light as its pitch black when descending the stairs in the middle of the night if you don't want to switch on the light. There is a summer house which we didn't use as we went in November. The cottage is situated in a very quiet small village with a pub almost opposite which will be serving hot food from the New Year. All of East Yorkshire is easily accessible and its only 14 miles from the nearest Park and Ride for York. Perfect for 2.
The Old Coach House has been tastefully renovated and is an ideal rural location for visiting North Yorkshire. It has been appointed and equipped well with everything you might need for your stay. We were welcomed by Richard who greeted us warmly and showed us around the cottage.
Lovely little cottage a stones throw from the pub.
We were so impressed with this great little find about 30 mins from York.
We arrived late and the hosts were so accommodating.
The cottage is a few steps away from a beautiful pub with amazing food, but if you’d prefer to stay in the cottage itself is well equipped if you’d like to cook at home.
As we were traveling we loved being able to use the washing machine too.
Overall we loved our stay and recommend the cottage to everyone looking for a village holiday.
Excellent property, within easy access of many attractions including Castle Howard.
We recently had a lovely two night stay in The Coach House. It is a really cosy and beautifully decorated property with everything you could need. There was even milk and a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. There is also use of a delightful little summer house with fairy lights and a heater which we took advantage of. The hosts are very friendly and there is a very nice pub opposite that does excellent food. We hope to come back to this area soon and we will definitely hope to stay here when we do.
We found the property very cosy for the two of us. It was ideally situated for visiting Eden Camp and Castle Howard. The country side is lovely and the pub across the road is very handy.
This cozy village house was perfect for our stay in Yorkshire. It was centrally located, so visits to York, Helmsley, the Scarborough to Whitby coast and N. Yorkshire Moors were less than an hour away.
The hosts were gracious, kind, interesting and helpful. The house was immaculately clean, with all the amenities we needed, as well as homey decorative touches.
There was a pub acrosss the lane with good food and several choices of beers and ciders and a hardworking, friendly staff.
