Close to the River Avon and the heart of the historic market town of Malmesbury, this recently renovated two bedroom house is the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Downstairs is a relaxing living and dining room complete with the original inglenook fireplace, a wonderful place to unwind after a long day exploring the stunning Cotswolds.
Walk through the beamed arch to a beautiful kitchen, equipped with everything you need for your stay. The whole property has been renovated in a country-chic style in keeping with tradition but complete with all the mod cons you could ask for. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms with great views of the charming streets of this medieval town. There is also a luxury bathroom with a large shower and even larger copper freestanding bath. This house is the ideal place to relax, have a long soak or read in front of the roaring fire after a long day in the sought after AONB Cotswolds.
Further afield (a 7 minute walk!) is the medieval Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum and Charlton Park Estate are both a short drive away. The Arboretum is the most well known in the country and Charlton Park is a wonderful place to visit (as well as the venue for WOMAD festival).
Malmesbury has an array of pubs (a personal favourite is The Smoking Dog) and restaurants, a weekly local artisan and farmers market every Friday and many annual musical, cultural and food events and festivals throughout the year. It really is a gem in the heart of the Cotswolds.
