"The property itself was very nice for an older historical “haunted” hotel. However, the beds were really high from the ground and its hardwood floor. I had to make a pillow bed on the floor for me and my 1 year old. Had I known this I would’ve picked a different hotel. The stairs are also kind of dangerous for children. So if you have little ones traveling with you reconsider this place, without children absolutely stay it was a cool experience."

"The room & the bathroom were pretty clean. There is new tile in the shower. The flooring was laminate instead of carpet, which is a plus! The beds had a blanket that was thinner than the average, but it was fine. The heating and air conditioning unit worked well. There were three wash cloths in the room instead of the typical two. "Nestled in a little enclave in downtown Mobile, we arrived in a historic section of the city with the hotel right in the middle. It felt like stepping back a century. Cobble stone streets with gas lights welcome you to this restored building from the 1800s, but with all up to date amenities. Our room was beautiful. The bathroom spacious with a four legged bathtub that tempted you to take a long, warm bath. It was sad that we only had one night. We can’t wait to come back. "

"The motel looked exactly as advertised in the pictures, the only main issue was that there were two of us in a queen bed with one of everything; one pillow on the bed, one body towel, and one washcloth. We tried going to the office but they were closed and the number listed had a full invoice. My partner she didn’t care for how far the plugs were from the bed either. Overall a good and quick stay that served its purpose as a place to lay our heads for the night. "

"Very nice hosts, and great breakfast. The room was nice but tight. I can't remember if the pool is featured on the marketing material, but the pool is tiny and there's no poolside chairs or tables. This place is fine as long as you don't mind drives in thick traffic with lots of stop lights to the beach. Take the scenic route 90 into Fairhope -- that's excellent."
