If a mountain view is what you want, look no further than Skyview Cabin. The wide-open views at 4500 feet elevation of the Great Smoky Mountains, will take your breath away. Skyview Cabin is an excellent place to go to escape and unwind. Relax in the bubbly hot tub while the steaks cook on the grill. For the more adventurous take a long walk up the mountain. For those requiring a little creature comfort, Wi-Fi and internet TV is available. Curl up in front of the wood burning fireplace and download your favorite movie.
For an added twist of fun, the interior stairway is a spiral staircase. The lower level of the cabin includes two bedrooms with queen size beds, a full bath, and access to the lower deck which includes the hot tub. The great room includes a queen size sleeper sofa. Dining area, kitchen, and half bath are located on the top floor along with the upper deck where the charcoal grill is located. Open the large sliding glass doors and enjoy the fresh mountain air and a cool breeze. If you need AC there is a portable unit on the lower level. Enjoy spectacular mountain vistas from either deck. Exterior security cameras are on premise. The approach to this vacation rental is a well-maintained gravel mountain road. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically during inclement weather) guests use an all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive for accessibility and/or tire chains.
Less than a 25-minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 30 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.
This cabin is about a 30 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).
A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Approximately, 60 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 30 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).
