I flew in from the westcoast of Canada to go to Minitruck nationals , the cabin was perfect for me , off the strip and nice and quiet , but within walking distance of the town

I can not give a detailed review at this time because the devastation in western North Carolina caused us to reschedule our trip til next year. They were great at staying in touch despite the power outages and phone disruptions.
This property is peaceful, untouched and gorgeous. Our stay was wonderful. Loved watching the lightening bugs come out in the evenings. Perfect getaway for us. Will be back.
This is our second time staying here and we love it. Will be back. Enjoyed seeing the elks. Ronnie, the manager was super nice. Loved listening to the creek.
We so enjoyed our family vacation at Pioneer Village. We have been staying at Pioneer Village for 22+ years. The upgrades were very nice. Our family reunion (26) stayed in 6 different cabins. The open green area is wonderful for small kids and to play games. Thank you for preserving these beautiful and special cabins and place.
Long weekend in the mountains. Wonderful stay in a quaint cabin at Pioneer village. Great running stream just off the back porch with rocking chairs. Super clean cabin. Warm fireplace. Just what we were looking for. Secluded enough for privacy and close enough to town for everything we needed. We will return. Excellent management staff.
Very pleased with stay. Ronnie was excellent in making sure everything was ok and we had everything we needed. Liked the new improvements; paint, electrical upgrades, electronic door locks, large bath towels , king size bed, etc. Could use a small dresser in the bedroom, a few more kitchen utensils and a little brighter lighting. Vrbo has added additional costs in daily cleaning and Vrbo fee.
Wonderful family get together in cozy, rustic cabins
We stayed at Pioneer Village, many years ago as a family and always enjoyed the simple, rustic, cozy cabins and location. Now, years later, we were able to join our children and grandchildren here at Pioneer Village. The property is under new ownership and management and I am happy to say, that it was a pleasure to be welcomed by the same kindness and willingness to help with any needs, that we always experienced. The cabins are being updated and re-freshened.. but the old, rustic charm is still very much present. Communication was prompt and friendly. We look forward to returning and creating more loving memories with our children and grandchildren.
Loved it! Very relaxing enjoying the fireplace on the very cold nights. Got to see Elk roaming in town, saw snow on our second day. It was beautiful. The roof leak in cabin #2 is still present in the bathroom. I did notice they have repaired it, but the leak is still their. I’m sure it’s hard to pin point the leak exactly, but it apparently was noticed by the cleaning people because they had the garbage can collecting the drip upon our arrival on a very rainy day, then the snow was melting and it continued to drip. All in all it was a great getaway for our vacation for some cold weather and a warm fire in the fireplace.
Loved everything about our stay! From the relaxing sounds of the creek, the cabin, the quiet neighborhood and the elk just outside our cabin. Thank you for a great 30th anniversary get away!
This rustic little cabin worked out very well for us - much better than staying in a hotel as we had our own space to cook, relax, play cards, etc. Loved that this cabin is right on the stream - you can hear the stream which is very soothing. Perfect sized property for two people. The bed was very comfortable. I could have used extra pillows for sleeping as I like to stuff them around me and there wasn't any extra available. The sheets were soft!. Loved sitting on the back porch and conducting a few phone calls while listening to the stream and rocking in the rocking chair. The coffee make and I didn't get a long well. Tried the Keurig pods and they made a mess every time. Finally worked out how to use coffee grounds without water and coffee grounds making a mess... I am sure user error!. There isn't a lot happening specifically in Maggie Valley but the location is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Smokey Mountain National Park, Waynesville, etc. There is a super cute womens boutique shop a couple miles away and was able to find some things there on our last day on the way out. I would stay here again if I was back in the area.
We probably won’t stay there again unless they have handicap accessible bathroom
We had difficult time taking a shower and using the restroom there are no outlets in the bathroom very disappointing other than that great facilities
