"Pool villa had comfortable room and spacious bathroom. Pool was decent sized and meticulously cleaned each day. Staff friendly and helpful. We walked from the hotel (taxis are easily available but tend to be off-meter), though there is one small part of road that floods easily - fine with sandals! "

"We’ve just had a fantastic 12 night stay at the CODE Samui hotel. The hotel itself was great with a spacious 1 bedroom room overlooking the infinity pool with views of the sea. The room was well equipped with kitchen including fridge/freezer, excellent air conditioning, tv with loads of international channels, separate sitting area with large sofa, a bathroom with rain fall shower and a big balcony with seats. As we were there to visit our son who is travelling, the hotel accommodated an additional bed for only 10000baht per day (~£25/day) so he could stay with us. The restaurant was reasonably priced compared to outside restaurants but when we wanted to venture out, the hotel offered a free shuttle to the road at the beach (as the hotel is up a hill) which was no more than 10 mins wait. The infinity pool was great and the fitness area was superb with gym, plunge pool, sauna & steam room. The one thing that makes a great hotel excellent is the people and all the staff (housekeepers, waiters/waitresses, reception etc) clearly take pride in their jobs and it made our guest experience even better. Special mention to Lay, Da, Som and Ben who looked after us every day from breakfast through to dinner. We’ll definitely be coming back to Koh Samui and the CODE hotel. " We had an amazing four-day stay at Zazen Boutique Resort in Koh Samui. The cabins were spacious and beautifully designed, featuring a cozy sofa area where we enjoyed Netflix in the evenings. The food was exceptional, especially the Thai dishes—we loved the Massaman curry, morning glory, tamarind prawns, and Panang curry. The buffet breakfast offered a great selection as well. The pool area was stunning, with comfortable day beds perfect for relaxing. We also had a wonderful experience at the spa, where we enjoyed our first Thai massage of the trip. In the evenings, we often played pool and explored Fisherman’s Village for food and massages. Renting a bike is the best way to explore the island. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. With its beachfront location and excellent service, Zazen was the perfect getaway—we’ll definitely be back!"

"Just returned after 11 nights at coco palm and we loved it. Ok their are a few negatives but before I go on we are already trying to book the same villa for 2026. Breakfast is fine and will fill your belly though it’s the same choice every day which can be repetitive but the egg station was always a hit. The beach is shell like and isn’t the best to be fair but it is right next to the ferry terminal literally 20 metres from the property to the checkin desk which I guess it’s so popular for people on a night stopover to other islands. Room service is amazing the food was stunning and reasonably priced ( no rip off price at this hotel I can assure you. The free shuttle bus to fisherman village is brilliant we went most days. There’s a great bar just 50 metres from the hotel and happy hour cocktails are amazing at just 2.50 pounds a throw. There is 2 supermarkets and 5 restaurants within a five minute walk. The staff at the hotel are lovely but we have encountered better smiles on previous visits to Thailand. All in all if your just after a beach holiday and want to stay put then this place won’t suit you but if your preference is to drop your case and want to explore the island then you would be hard pressed to beat coco on their prices.
