Read this one! It's a gem!!
After reading the dismal reviews I was a little apprehensive. I can assure you that this place is a great little place to stay. Good location, quiet, refurbed, clean. Only downsides I can think of are no curtain in room so no alarm clock for me...nature's alarm clock made sure I was up and at em at 7am ☀️☀️, the shower bracket was a bit dodgy but managed to get a workable angle to get clean. The cleaner was super friendly and the check in process( although unconventional) was relatively straightforward if you follow the rules. To stay in the centre of Madrid for 30euros a night? With a private bathroom? It's a no brainer! Thanks for a great stay

We like their location for: Convenient, cleanliness and safe because it is next to city policy station. But the room is small like a bird cage, only 1 pillow for 2 people, and warning for the first time foreigners (non-Spanish speaking) in Madrid like us: You should be prepared to deal with non-English people :(. It took us 2 hrs for looking, waiting and dealing with the building and meet the registration guy. They post a phone number on the door and ask you to do online check in but my phone could not contact them and and internet network is slow like s.ht. Do not book this property if you visit Madrid on the 1st time and have no Spanish speaking experiences.

Bueno en general me voy fasdisfecho, para volver a repetir céntrico todo a mano metro ,transportes muy muy muy bien mis dos únicos comentarios negativos las camas y un problema con la llave del portal pero me reitero muy muy recomendable

A las 15:00h nos informaron que podíamos acceder a la habitación. Llegamos a las 16:00h, pudiendo subir hasta el piso de la habitación con los códigos facilitados. Sin embargo, al intentar introducir el código de la habitación, nos dio error en varias ocasiones, y no encontramos solución a pesar de estar siguiendo las instrucciones que nos dieron por teléfono. Una de las limpiadoras, muy agradable y atenta, trató de ayudarnos pero fue imposible acceder a la habitación incluso con sus propios códigos. Llamamos a los encargados y mandaron a una persona de mantenimiento, quien se presentó una hora después y trató de arreglar la puerta. Imposible también. Tras otra media hora más, nos ofrecieron acudir a otra pensión llamada ‘Los perales’ y no tuvimos más remedio que aceptar, pues un 26 de diciembre por la tarde era imposible encontrar nada más con condiciones similares. ‘Los Perales’ estaba 15 minutos más lejos de la primera estancia y, por lo tanto, del centro de la ciudad. Debido a la espera y a las nuevas, y peores condiciones de localización, esperábamos una estancia de igual o mayor comodidad, pero nada más lejos de la realidad. Al llegar a la segunda pensión, ‘Los Perales’, aunque conseguimos entrar, las condiciones del espacio eran vergonzosas en cuanto a limpieza, estado de los armarios, cajones, puerta, toallas, ducha, etc.

Demasiado angosta la habitación y el baño diminuto. Importante explicar bien el check in y el check out antes. Debería estar explicado en le sitio web hotels.com. Porq uno al viajar no esta pendiente de sus correos.

todo correctísimo, pese a detallitos... repetiré!
Pensión calidad-precio buena, localización inmejorable, a una calle de Callao/Gran Vía, no puede ser más céntrica; quizás, tema precio, la habitación individual con baño privado un pelín, pelííín cara (teniendo en cuenta tamaño de hab y baño), pero no se puede pedir más, la verdad es que está bien. Eso sí, estaba perfectamente limpia y lo cierto es que no se escuchaba demasiado nada (yo no soy demasiado sensible al ruido tampoco). Cositas a tener en cuenta: no hay fosforito/cortina opaca en la ventana, quizá iría bien; a parte les comenté que el mando de la tv no iba porque las pilas estaban chafadas y pese a decirme que pasarían, no vinieron nunca. La llegada y salida al establecimiento fue rápida y tuve los códigos desde el día antes y fue muy cómodo. La comunicación con la dirección fue accesible y me respondieron siempre al momento (pese a luego cumplir o no...). Repetiría sin duda, no os lo penséis y reservad, pese a todo esto vale muchísimo la pena!!! :)

La ubicación es excelente. Algunos puntos negativos son la olor fuerte de tuberías que suben por el lavamanos, y que es necesario cerrar el baño para que no invada la habitación. El extractor del baño es muy ruidoso, y no se puede apagar, es necesario cerrar la puerta, y aún así se sigue escuchando. Tuvimos problemas con el PIN digital, y llamando nos dieron uno de emergencia. Cabe recalcar que el número de atención que empieza por 9 es más efectivo que el 6. Este último no atiende las llamadas.

Ha ido una experiencia muy buena, pero hemos llegado antes y no nos habían enviado los códigos para poder entrar a la habitación. No sabíamos, ni se nos había informado que no se podía llegar antes, de esta manera hubiéramos actuado de otra manera.
