The worst place Iā€™ve ever spent a night. Expedia should remove them as a hotel option. One night there was a mouse in the lobby, our room flooded with water coming out of the wall and there were worms on the floor the next morning. Shady characters hanging out in the shop next door every night that we had to pass through to get to the front door. There are better options just a few blocks up the road.

El motel esta cerca del centro pero no en una zona turistica. La propiedad es vieja y no esta bien mantenida. Nuestra habitacion estaba en un sotano. No tenia ventana, y el olor a encierro y mala ventilacion eran prominentes. El baƱo estaba en terribles condiciones: oxido en las canillas, marco de la puerta roto con la madera raida expuesta, sucio, pelos en la cabina de ducha. Solo pasamos una noche, pero fue una experiencia horrible. No recomiendo!!

We stayed at Motel LavapiĆ©s for two nights. Hereā€™s my review: Location: The location is convenient, close to many shops and restaurants, and within a 15-20 minute walk to more vibrant areas. Facilities: We booked two rooms with the expectation of a shared bathroom between them, but it turned out the bathroom was shared by all the rooms on the floor. If youā€™re particular about hygiene, this might not be the best option. The rooms themselves are average, and there is a shared fridge and microwave available for all guests. Noise: The most frustrating part of the stay was the noise. Both nights were filled with loud noises and shouting, which made it difficult to sleep.

I dont normally leave reviewsā€¦ but given as this is the worst place I have ever stayed at I feel it would be a must to alert other fellow travellers and share my experience! Stay away at all costs! Staff were scammers, the room I had was an eye-sore and it stunk. Surrounding area was horrible and felt unsafe. Upon checking in the receptionist suggested they did not accept credit card, even though mastercard/visa sign was placed up behind him on wall. I reckon this was part of their scam. Cash machine 10ā€™secs round the corner. Paid up in full for the stay for 3ā€™nights. It was so bad I left after 1ā€™night. I was checking out at 5:30am in the morning and the night-porters said i still owed half of the fee and was refusing to let me leave. He was adamant there was only half paid when checked in and the other half was still to be paid (have never heard of the likes in all my life)! Especially after showing them the credit card transaction from bank machine and there are cameras on reception they still insisted i owed money. I was arguing for 10ā€™mins before I had enough and forced my way outside running down the street to get away. An absolutely absurd experience. The place was smelling throughout. No air con unless pay extra. Very noisy- inside and outside. It just wasnā€™t a pleasant place at all. Save your money for elsewhere.

It was very low on conveniences and very rudimentary. 1 thin towel, cold room, hair dryer with little to no heat, BUT the price was minimal and the staff was kind and gave me a space heater, the price was right, in a neighborhood with everything one needs. No one would confuse it with a five star hotel but worth the cost and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Avoid if possible
The bed, room and furniture were dirty and in bad repair. The room was tiny. The bed filled 90% of it. The staff, whilst friendly, were a bit intrusive in the room, actually walking in on my friend as she was going to bed and I was in the bathroom. We didn't get large towels, only tiny ones and when asked for large ones, we were at first ignored and then told they'd be left in the cupboard. We found some drinking glasses that were caked in grime, and nothing to wash them with. The bed had some drops of red on it, we prayed wasn't blood. The street outside was noisy, which doesn't usually bother us but it seemed the window didn't close properly. The location was pretty good, but I think for the money paid, you could definitely get a better place.

Great location walkable to many restaurants/convenience stores/attractions. Great value for money. Hospitable host and very responsive. We mentioned that the room was cold and even though we did not pay for the $10 for the heater control, the host gave us a portable heater to use for our stay there. Host was responsive in helping us make payment because there was an issue with our initial payment. Room unfortunately smelled of cigarettes.

A lot of noise outside and inside the hotel at night. Just one towel and they don't have hand and face towels in the bathrooms. And don't give you a extra covertor because is cold. Mucho ruido afuera y adentro durante la noche. Solo te dan una toalla. Y no hay toalla en los baƱos para las manos y cara. Y no te dan un cobertor extra para el frƭo.
