The living room boasts colourful interior decor that makes this a beautiful space in which to relax, socialise or work. After a long day of exploring the city, take the weight off your feet on the sofa and truly feel at home! The two sofas in the common areas (one in the living room and one in the mezzanine) even convert into double sofa beds to accommodate extra guests. Move through to the kitchen and you’ll find an array of modern appliances and cooking implements.

One of the highlights of this unique home is the duplex nature of the apartment, which provides extra light to the property.

The master bedroom boasts a comfortable double bed with fresh, hotel-quality linens, as well as ample storage and wardrobe space. Black-out blinds on the windows keep the room dark so you can always get a good night’s rest and wake up refreshed. The second bedroom, meanwhile, features three single beds (two in a bunk bed), also fitted with superior-standard linens so your stay is as comfortable as possible.

In the mornings, when you want to freshen up, just head through to the well-appointed bathrooms, where you can enjoy an energising shower. Towels and toiletries are provided.

The property will be professionally cleaned before your stay.

Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire property and it is important that you are respectful towards your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

The Neighborhood:
Located to the north of the centre of the city, Hortaleza is a thriving modern part of Madrid, with commercial centres and shopping malls, as well as the preserved old town squares of small villages that have been swallowed up by the capital city as it expanded. What’s more, the proximity of Hortaleza to the large Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport means that it is quick and easy to reach when arriving and departing the city. You can always enjoy a peaceful walk or sit on the grass in the picturesque Juan Carlos Park. The park is home to numerous large-scale sculptures as well as a beautiful botanical garden. There are two large shopping malls in the neighbourhood, namely the Campo de las Naciones and the Palacio de Hielo, the latter of which even boasts a full Olympic-sized ice rink. The large are of Hortaleza is home to several metro stations, including Hortaleza, Pinar Del Ray, Esperanza, San Lorenzo, Mar de Cristal and Canillas, meaning the whole neighbourhood is well connected to the rest of the city by public transport.

There are plenty of very good quality restaurants in Hortaleza, meaning you won’t be left short of options when it comes to finding somewhere to eat. At Restaurante Detres, you can feast on a great menu of Mediterranean Spanish favourites in a fairly smart, yet charmingly casual environment. The multicultural nature of the neighbourhood means that there is an abundance of different cuisines to choose from. Head to Everest Tandoori for delicious Nepali-Indian food, or Tsukiji sushi bar for some of the best Japanese cuisine in the area. Finally, you can get your fix of heart Mexican food at Restaurante El Guero. Whilst Hortaleza is not a part of the city known for its nightlife, there are some options for an evening beer or a late-night cocktail in the loca area. Calway Station is an Irish bar which is ideal for a social beer in a fun and friendly atmosphere. For more of a club or late bar environment, head to Bar Templo for tasty cocktails in smart, cosy surroundings.

Getting Around:
Hortaleza tube station on the 4 line is the closest station 5 min walk away. The Citymapper app is highly recommended for help getting around! Alternatively, city taxis are easy to find.
