"Very welcoming staff so that was a great first impression. Very well presented accommodation. Great shower. Plenty of beverages and having a sofa too in the evening was a bonus. Enjoyed some good food in the pub along with a very drinkable bottle of red. Great atmosphere. Bed was very comfortable. It is only self serve continental breakfast of cereal, yoghurt and toast. But price we paid was ok for that. Bad points - road was noisy but ear plugs sorted that out. Also need an eye...

There was some noise from passing traffic, but this was not overly distracting. Would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful period pub in a very nice setting. Clean, well cared for with a lot of period/nice touches to decor. Lovely large room with a shower and a separate bath. Very good made to order breakfast. Staff - pleasant, helpful and engaged. The only negative was no food after 8pm - which is when we arrived - and no other options in the locale. So arrive early if you want to eat there."

One morning we mentioned to Arthur that the frying pan was warped and a bit difficult to cook with, and when we returned that evening a bag with a new pan was hanging on the door. Arthur also made some good recommendations for visiting local attractions. Enjoyable stay."
