"My family and I rented this cottage based on the past reviews and the cottage description. Unfortunately, the cottage was not properly described and was filthy when we arrived. We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards...

"If your looking for tranquility this is the place. I suprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away and some much needed down time. We canoed the pond and walked the trails. The beaver's occasionally swam by and we were visited by the blue jays and the gray jays. Bring your candles for those candle lit evenings, remember no hydro. "This was a great place to stay with our elderly parents. The home is very clean with every comfort required. The check in was very straight forward. The walk to the lake is breath taking and beautiful. The lake is clean and has a lovely sandy bottom. There is a canoe and sup boards, however we did not use them as the water was a bit rough. "The house was just what I needed. I Would recommend to others. Unfortunately, the entire time I was only there for a few hours to sleep only, as it was a photographer trip. However, what I can say is that it’s cozy, great bed, all the amenities you need (cookware, BBQ) nicely set back on the property for privacy. The host was great! She was easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. I hope to go back with hubby but next time spend more time and relax there. "
