Property was a great choice for a family gathering over Christmas! Game room was a hit; even for the adults. Hot Tub was a nice plus as was the fire pit with ample wood. We enjoyed our stay!

Awesome lake house getaway!!
Our family just enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Ellis Island lake house in Gun Barrel City on a fantastic cove on Cedar Creek Lake! My mom and her husband formerly owned this house and lived in it for over 20 years... Our children grew up coming to Granny and Granddad's lake house, fishing off the pier, sitting in the hot tub and eating LOTS of ice cream!! But, the house has now been FULLY remodeled and updated, and a number of amenities have been added! The living area, kitchen and eating area are now fully open-concept with a beautiful view of the lake through all new windows!! Both bathrooms have been updated w/ a large, walk-in shower in the master bathroom! The beds and pillows were super comfortable! And, what we used to call the "Big Room" is now a fully functional game room w/ arcade games, a pool table, a poker table, and TV! Also, there are a large, new washer and dryer for guest use, as well as a full-size freezer for extra freezer space, if needed! We all enjoyed the hot tub, as well as the new, 2-story boat dock... we even caught a couple of fish off the dock. If you're looking for a nice, fun place to stay on Lake Cedar Creek, Ellis Island should be where you go!!

Beautiful home and Great Lake view.
Had a great time. The hot tub was dirty and messaged the host and did not get a reply. Overall the communication everything else was great and had a blast.

Great Property
The property was fantastic. Nice doc that you could still get a boat to even though the lake was almost 5 feet low. The house was updated and very well provisioned. Lots of beds for kids and teens. The hot tub was warmed up and ready to go, and there were gas and charcoal grills, and a smoker. Nice fire pit with lots of chairs, great for hanging out and smores! The game room was a bonus! I would defnitely stay again!

For being a newer listing, this property has great potential. The communication with the host was good. We did have some hiccups during our stay but she helped to get those fixed. This listing has a little ways to go but once it gets there, it will be amazing!

!!! We were honored to be the first guests at this magical cozy house in Gun Barrel City . Close to everything and tucked away in a quiet cannel . It’s beautifully decorated and brand new from poker nights to hot tub star gazing this beauty has it all ! If you need anything Kendra is a text away and is happy to help make this gem even better .. not sure how that’s possible though. So bring your suit and get ready to take a deep breath .. we can’t wait to go back !!
