For your next basecamp grab your gear and head to our 1bed,1 bath cozy studio cabin just outside of Lyons, on private property, along the St. Vrain River in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. This property is ideal for a couple or solo traveler looking to explore all the Colorado outdoors have to offer. Your cabin is in a group of 6 cabins all with their own private entrances and spaces. If you are traveling in a bigger group please ask about the option to book cabins next to each other!
The Space:
Welcome to the Riverside Cabins! Cedar Cabin will be a great basecamp for all your moutain adventures! Walk into this cabin and you immediately feel the coziness with a gas fireplace! We have a soft Queen size bed to sleep in after a day of adventuring. Need a shower after a long day of hiking our bathroom has been fully remodeled complete with shower, fresh towels and eco friendly soaps! Step out into your private fenced in patio to grill your favorite mountain meal or just relax and listen to the hummingbirds.
From the living area walk right to the kitchen to make a meal or grab some coffee! In the kitchen you will find a refrigerator, gas stove/oven, toaster, microwave, coffee and all the cookware and dishes you need! Its a beautiful day and you feel like grilling? No problem! Open the back door and walk out onto your private patio and enjoy grilling or just relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air!
This cabin as been fully remodeled and ready for you to come and enjoy! This cabin shares a front porch with the cabin next door, duplex style. If you have other family or friends that would like to travel with you but stay in their own cabin please ask us as we do have 9 other cabins throughout the property!
Pets: Dogs are allowed in this cabin, no more then 2 and there is a one time pet fee of $25 per pet. Your pet must be on a leash at all times for the safety of your pet as well as other guests and wildlife. Please pick up after your pet, we do have a pet trash/dog bag station close to your cabin.
Guest Access:
If you are coming from Lyons you will turn left right after county road 80 onto our private drive. You will head down the road past the parking lot and continue to follow the one way dirt road all the way to the back of the property and around to the right. You will pass a garage and stand alone cabin. Keep going a little further and your cabin will be the second one back on your right with the green chairs on the deck. The cabin name is Cedar. Park in the unloading zone to get your things into your cabin and then continue to follow the one way road around back to the parking lot. It will be a short walk from the parking lot to your cabin. We wanted to keep the property quiet, peaceful and natural for all of our guests so you can enjoy all the property has to offer! Please feel free to check out our property but please be mindful of other guests. You are able to access this cabin with any type of vehicle although please think about the time of year you are coming and what areas you would like to go. Getting to some of the trailheads may require AWD or 4WD.
The Neighborhood:
The Cedar Cabin is located on the Riverside Cabins private property right along the St. Vrain River! There are 11 cabins on our property and we pride ourselves in keeping it private and natural so everyone can enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We are less then 8min to Lyons and about 15min to Estes Park, 20min to RMNP and any and all hikes in between! If you are looking to attend one of Lyons many festivals we are a 5min drive to Planet Blue Grass.

Getting Around:
You should easily be able to access our property with any vehicle but please remember if you are doing any mountain driving or planning any hikes some trailheads are only accessible by AWD or 4WD.
Parking- please use the One Way road to get to your cabin to unload your things. Always go the same direction to get back to the parking lot. The road is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other in certain spots.
Other Things to Note:
Wildlife: We are in the mountains and do have wildlife walking through the property regularly such as Black Bear, Elk, Bobcats, Fox and Deer. That being said these are wild animals and we are in their space so please enjoy them but keep a safe distance. Never approach them and please do not leave any food in your vehicle or outside. Lock your car at all times and please throw food garbage in our bear proof container on the property up by the Lodge.
Outdoor Fire pits: We have 5 outdoor gas firepits on the river for you to use. Please make sure you turn off the fire pit and propane when you are finished.
River and Fire Bans- The River is cold mountain run off and is also at times very deep and fast. Please be aware of this and stay a safe distance when enjoying! We will let you know about any fire bans that might come up in the area.
WIFI: We do have wifi and it is usually great! However we are in the canyon and sometimes it can get spotty depending on weather etc.
