Not as advertised. Listing said air conditioning, there is none. There was a fan but it didn’t work. Says double bed but it is twin beds.
After calls to hotels.com and they got management to bring us a fan. And because we had paid for the room before seeing it they could only give us a $25 discount.
Rooms are very run down. The cleaners are doing a great job with what they have to work with.
Noisy area surrounded by sex shops, nightclubs and street walkers. Yelling in the streets til 4 am.
Spend some more money and stay in the older part of the city. I wish I had. I travel a lot and am very reasonable when it comes to expectations and this was one of my worse hotel stays.
There are a number of reviews online, some are spot on and some are way off the mark. On the plus side the hotel is clean and comfortable, and its location next to the railway station is great - after a flight and trip on the shuttle bus you get off and walk about 200m to the hotel. There is a supermarket nearby and plenty of bars and bistros if needed. Also (one of my favourite things) a bar with live music. Wi-fi works fine, TV had plenty of choice of channels
On the downside the street is noisy until about 1-2am and even after there is a lot of shouting and so on going on. As a single man I felt safe but this is not a hotel for single female travellers or families.
The receptionist also doubles as the barmaid so while trying to check in there are thirsty punters also vying for her attention. Its a busy bar so odd times you may like to ask about nearby facilities or questions about your stay the chances of getting her attention are pretty slim.
Standard hotel close to the train station and above one of the bars.
Not much else to say, it was clean (though perhaps a smoker had been in the room previously), just a matter of paying, getting the key, the door code for after hours, and dropping the key off next morning.
Considering the price, we were disappointed with our stay. The reception is connected to a sleazy bar and the hotel itself is in a red light district. The room felt dated and ‘used’.
Basic, clean.
Very accommodating staff.
No non smoking rooms.
For 3 mornings a guy with a leaf blower
Came by at 5:45am and did the other side of the street by 6am. Regular occurance? The hotel can't control that but it sure is annoying. The cafe/bar downstairs is open late. Folks go outside to smoke and that smoke wafts up to the open windows of the rooms. Maximum 5 hrs of quiet. The hotel is situated in a busy area with a good assortment of restaurants and varied entertainment.
Whta can I say about Hotel Zurich. First of all they have no lobby. There is a pass-through window to the Bar next door and one deals with the bar host. The rooms are in dire need of some attention. Paster falling off the walls - grout in the shower moldy and missing. Toilet and sink cracked.
The safe in the room was totally busted and the TV receiver box was dangling from the bottom of the TV with 2 wire ties.
We rented 2 rooms because we were traveling with a friend. The friends room had a fan but ours didn't. We asked for one because it was rather warm but they said they didn't have one. I guess that is ok but their attitude was rather flippant and I-don't-care if you know what I mean.
The part of town this place is in is terrible. "Women of the night" and strip joints everywhere. I was looking for a parking garage and ended up having one of the local working girls help me out. She was friendly - it is an indication of just how many were around.
The place isn't cheap and one gets no indication of its poor condition or location from its web site.
I would not recommend it or stay there again.
+ Hotel staff was nice overall. It was a spacious room and quite clean. Inexpensive for luxembourg standards.
- However, hotel reception is a window in a corridor leading to the bar next door. You have to wait for the staff to serve beers to check you in. Extremelly noisy. Room with strong tobacco smell. Sketchy neighbourhood with cabarets and drunk people in the street.
A terrible place. Not clean. Nose all night. This is not a hotel. Just a room above a bar.

Stay there if you have to.
The hotel is located in the most shady area in Luxembourg. I witnessed a fight between two junkies while I was there. The hotel stuff is friendly though. Sasha, the hotel clerk, was very kind and friendly.
I would only recommend this hotel is there is no other option.
This hotel lost my reservation, turned me away at the door, and was incredibly rude to me the entire conversation. This hotel is dirty, awful customer service, and a horrible location. I was harassed outside of the hotel and no one helped me.
