"This is an old building, so think quirky shaped rooms and features, not boring square boxes. That doesn't mean that it is dated inside though, it has been decorated to a high standard, and is spotlessly clean and tidy, and tastefully furnished. Our room was bigger than we expected, with loads of space even though the (very comfortable) bed was huge. "We had a lovely two days in Linton and Lynmouth and North Walk House was perfect for a quiet weekend away for me and my wife. We were really well looked after and the room had wonderful sea views as did the drawing room juts across the corridor. Everything is in walking distance including the cliff top walk, literally starts right outside the house. Highly recommended, we’ll be back."

"Russel and Nicky made us feel very welcome and at home , the breakfast are amazing and worth a revisit alone ! The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure "

"Staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable. Room was excellent, nice bed and bed linen, extremely clean and warm - provided everything you might need in way of tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Excellent TV with all the stations. Stay included breakfast, we only had the continental as had an early departure but hot breakfast was also available. Would highly recommend."

"This is a really nice old fashioned pub style accomodation but has a really good chef and therefore very good food. Slightly above the average price but well worth it. However there are other local options for dining. The room overlooked the bay and you could see surfers in the distance along with the small harbour. The famous Lynton to Lynmouth railway is just round the corner and well worth a trip for the spectacular views. Will definitely go back at some point."

Roomy and Comfortable

"When booking other hotel stays for 5 of us, we have had to book two separate rooms. Not at Holiday Inn Express Taunton. We had one room for all five of us which was exceptionally sized and we all had plenty of space within the room. It is a budget hotel and the price should reflect expectations, however, we were immensely impressed with our stay, boosted even more so with breakfast being included. We will consider staying again if we are ever in the area again!"

"Absolutely fabulous stay at this hotel. Super dog friendly, amazing sea views from our room and really friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend. We already knew there wasn't a restaurant service, but lovely places to eat really close by. The room we had was huge with a big tv and great shower. The bed was big and super comfy. If i had to be picky, the carpet could do with an update as although clean and no smells was a bit stained, and it was too hot for me in the room (56). I would love to stay there again (so would my dog and partner 😀)"
