Foxfire Glade Lodge is a comfortable 3-BR cabin on a beautiful piece of property consisting of 3 acres and 225 feet or waterfront on the Shenandoah River. Hit up the River Rat Run frisbee golf course and then kick back on the porch. You can play checkers or just relax, rocking on the porch swing, soaking in the sunset, and enjoying the riverside view.
After grilling out on either the charcoal or the gas grill, you can gather around the fire pit for a cozy evening of stargazing with friends and family. Maybe even try your luck fishing at the river!
For off-road riding enthusiasts, there is Taskers Gap/Peter's Mill not far away. Go to a local gas station to get your pass, and then you're good to go for an epic day of trail riding!
If you want to go canoeing, kayaking, or tubing, this is the place to do it! We have two canoes that guests are welcome to borrow. You can put your boat in the water and get out at several different points, including at the property! Inskeep Boat Launch is a large boat launch at the corner of Page Valley Rd and Bixler's Ferry Rd. Next you have Bealers Ferry Boat Launch and then Fosters Boat Ramp. The float from Inskeep to Bealers Ferry is 6 miles. It is approximately 2.5 miles from Bealers Ferry to Fosters Boat Ramp; from Fosters to the property, it is a 7 mile float. If you would rather not deal with taking two cars and hauling boats or tubes, Shenandoah River Outfitters is a great company, which will take you and pick you up at various spots on the river. Note: the Compton Rapids are a few miles after Fosters. They are a class II rapid, and you should wear your life vest if you are going to paddle through it.
When you're ready to turn in for the day or if it's raining, we have a big-screen TV and fast internet -- 121 Mbps down/33 Mbps up. An ideal place to work from home in a beautiful location or watch a football game with surround sound!
We ask that guests sign a renter agreement and make a security deposit through Owner Rez.
Note that there is a slightly curved gravel driveway beyond the gate to get to the property, so we would recommend a 4WD or an AWD in the wintertime. There is also additional parking by the river at the bottom of the hill across the road, on the river front side of the property.
