"I absolutely loved the Emerald Bay Resort in Mirissa! The manager and hotel staff were exceptional—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short and easy six-minute walk to the stunning beaches. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff always greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond, even preparing a delicious breakfast for our early 5:00 AM safari. The food was fabulous, and the hospitality made our stay even more special. This is truly a wonderful hotel with an outstanding team—highly recommend! "

"Lovely hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Located a few minutes from the beach and lots of lovely restaurants. Rooms are a great size. Only negative was a very noisy peacock living close by, but we had ear plugs so it didn't disrupt our stay. Great breakfast with lots to choose from. "

"The room requires a deep clean. Dirty floor mats, water timescale marks all around the shower and window. Privacy blind had mould growing on it. Sink requires timescale and bleach as plug area smelt unpleasant. Air conditioning required some overdue maintenance or replacement as it was so loud even with the terrace doors closed. Very loud music could be easily heard in the room until 5am. Breakfast area had a fly problem and need to be addressed urgently as unhygienic. "

"D Canal was the highlight of our hotel stays in Sri Lanka. The decoration at the hotel was beautiful and unique. The chef made his own Mango, papaya and lime jam which was to die for. It was definitely the tastiest breakfast we had during our trip. The pool was very relaxing and the staff couldn’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. There is a free tuk, tuk to and from the property from 10am to 7pm which was very generous. I wish we had stayed longer and will definitely be returning. "
