"Room was adequate, sparse but had what we needed for 1 night. Internet was spotty at best and unavailable for much of our stay. The visiting Wētā birds on the deck made up for it! "

"ROOM WAS CLEAN. dissappointed on how old and worn/broken down the bed was. You cannot sit straight on the toilet as the vanity is in the way. Nice owners and cool historic Town."

"Beautiful well thought out space. Can’t say enough about our suit and the owners. The location is right on the water with easy walking access to the beach and hiking trails. Our hosts Sandra and Doc were very accommodating and made us feel at home. The suit was like new fitted with high end modern appointments. The breakfast that they provided was just what we needed. Had we known how nice this place was we would have scheduled this in our plans for a few more days. "

"I thought that the room was a very good price for what we paid, until we tried to sleep at night. The double bed was actually two single beds with a sheet over them and they were not the same size twin beds either. One of the mattresses was good quality the other worn out and I spent the whole night rolling into the middle until i made hubby swap with me. Everything else about the room was fine."

"Super well stocked off grid cabin, overlooking a valley. Hammocks and bbq on deck with lots of cooking supplies. Cabin is beautifully decorated with books and games. Trails down to the river and a beautiful look out spot! Sunset - gorgeous! Really loved it! Host warm and friendly and has a home close by. One of my favorite stays on the South Island! "
