"We loved staying here! Kitchen had everything, inc. a cafetière, salt & pepper grinders, dedicated drawer of superbly sharp knives(!) & a resident kitchen spider who earnt her keep by catching a mosquito! The bed is huge - could easily fit 3 people! (Duvet cover is a bit noisy/rustles like taffeta when it moves, so light sleepers with partners prone to nocturnal limb flailing might be kept awake by this. The antique wardrobe was ace - I enjoyed the labelled shelves based on sartorial stylings...

"You enter the property though an out-house at the end of a path. There’s no working outside light so, if you arrive late or like to go out on an evening take a torch. When we arrived, the bins were overflowing, and bags of rubbish had been piled up along the path. The outside area doesn’t get cleaned or maintained so, if you like al fresco dining you need a stiff brush and bucket of soapy water to clean away all the rotting fruit, leaves and debris. "Bathrooms and bedrooms great, kitchen not great but adequate, dining room good with plenty of mats for the table, sitting room ok but furniture a bit shabby, utility room good with good quality white goods. Garden not good for children of all ages really, nowhere to kick a ball and so steep we couldn’t let the little ones play at all outside, not that we had the weather to do that anyway!! All in all a good house but could be better. "

"The location and park is beautiful with very nice views of the dales. The accommodation is well equipped, clean and modern. The hot tub was great for relaxing in after a long walk. Owner are very nice and helpful, I would recommend this property and hope to stay again."

"We enjoyed the property very much. Minutes on foot to a large supermarket and many restaurants. Friendly and responsive hosts once they were finally contacted (see below) through Host and Stay. The only downside was the management firm Host and Stay. They were very inflexible on the 4 pm entry, and they would not even allow us to place our luggage in the foyer prior to this time. "Excellent location by the river. The property very spacious and well equipped.Very comfortable bed.You can leave French doors open lie in bed and listen to the river and the ducks,sit outside on the balcony with a G&T. Easy walk into town. Would recommend and would return."

"Our stay was ok, however the central heating switched off every 15 minutes and tripped the consumer unit, i had to reset it many times to keep warm in such a lovely cottage, this spoilt it for us unfortunately. If the heating had stayed on we would rate this cottage very highly. We contacted the customer service office many times over the week but the problem was not resolved and nobody seemed to understand the issue, they just came in and reset the central heating switch in the consumer unit...

The cottage was very homely and welcoming with some great attention to detail. The kitchen was well equipped with quality appliances and accessories.
