ABOUT OLD LOUISVILLE: Old Louisville is a historic district and neighborhood in central Louisville. It is the third largest such district in the United States, and the largest preservation district featuring almost entirely Victorian architecture.It is also unique in that a majority of its structures are made of brick, and the neighborhood contains the highest concentration of residential homes with stained glass windows in the U.S.Many of the buildings are in the Victorian-era styles of Romanesque, Queen Anne, Italianate, among others; and a large number of blocks have had few or no buildings razed. There are also several 20th-century buildings from 15 to 20 stories.

Property was great and great location. House was very nice but very dirty. We needed to sweep and vacuum. Oven was so dirty it smoked up the whole house. Back shower had no water pressure and unusable. Host was great and loved the chocolates and wine. House was charming and old

Wonderful stay for Derby week
This charming 2nd floor apartment was the PERFECT place for our group to relax and unwind after days of bourbon tasting, sightseeing, and (of course) horse racing. Jarred was a pleasure to work with, and made sure our stay was outstanding.

Conveniently Located close to ChurchHill Downs.
Located in historic district, this home is old but mostly updated, with some chart. We had some difficulty using smart tv, which was not ideal due to it being a weekend of football.

All the Comforts of Home
We loved our stay in Old Louisville! The apartment is clean and beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, couches and tables and I could have sat on the balcony forever! Tons of space. Everything you need in the kitchen, location close to everything, and street parking was always available directly in front of the house. A+. Some things I hadn’t seen in other reviews: the owner clearly lives in the apartment, with clothes in the closets and food in the fridge & cabinets. The second shower has obviously been out of service for a long time and there is no door handle in the main bath. The apartment is on the outer edge of Old Louisville. None of this would stop me from re-booking at this great apartment, but others could find it helpful.

Spacious and very clean
Great location with respect to places we wanted to visit. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen missing a few items: toaster, pot holders/hot pads, rubber spatula, coffee pot that is not a Keurig. Apartment house next door is a little dicey - police visit to assist quietly w domestic issue, loud talking outside at midnight. Someone in building smokes marjuama daily.

Beautiful home that was very welcoming and everything was meticulously picked out! Beautiful furnishings, beautiful atmosphere! Beds were were conquerable, kitchen stocked with all the basics and covered all of our needs!

We had an amazing time! Sarah was AWESOME! She responded quickly & was such a delight to correspond with when discussing options. Might consider adding in review that this was a second floor condo but it was great! Loved that we could cook & eat at the condo! Great character!

Historic Heaven
Perfect property for our two couples. We visited Churchill Downs & Louisville Slugger museum. Easy drive to both locations. A+ on cleanliness. Loved the charm of the old home and neighborhood. We spent most of our time on the veranda. The road was busy and was loud at the cross street but no worries. Could not hear any of it inside. Slept like a baby in the comfy bed. Great having the two bathrooms. The owner provided great info on places within walking distance. We enjoyed looking at the historic homes on our quest for food. I may have missed in the listing that it was on the second floor but it is an easy climb. Thank you for the hospitality and sharing your home with us.
