Catherine & Gérard open the doors of a charming 1960s residence, carefully renovated, nestled in a peaceful residential area, adjoining the medieval and commercial heart of the town, on the banks of the Seille (a bucolic navigable river protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its remarkable fauna and flora ecosystem), a stone's throw from the river marina and the quays. Famous for its iconic "Rue aux 157 arcades", a shopping street surrounded by picturesque facades from the 14th to the 16th century, and for its "Monday market" labeled "Remarkable Site of Taste" (one of the most important retail poultry markets in France), equipped with all the amenities such as sports and leisure facilities, the capital of Bresse has a rich heritage (remains of ancient ramparts, remarkable medieval buildings including several towers and private mansions, a 14th century church, a 17th century Hôtel Dieux, etc.) and benefits from a magnificent, perfectly preserved surrounding countryside, rich in contrasting and varied landscapes.
