"The room was clean and adequate for our needs, although the photos give the impression that there is a dining area but our room was more like a standard hotel room with the addition of a microwave. Having said that, the bed and general facilities were comfortable and the location was great as we were visiting the town centre, the City ground and the Motorpoint arena and all were within walking distance."

"Cheap price, but price definitely reflects the accommodation. Ripped curtain, stains on the floor, fridge with microwave ontop of it, room smelt like some one had just warmed up a bowl of soup. Bathroom tap faucet broken, no iron or ironing board, no cups, hand lotion in a tiny tube but no hand wash. Bed was comfy and clean sheets and towels, shower worked fine. If you are purely bothered about a place to sleep and not concerned about any of the other things that come as standard in most hotels...

"This was our 1st time booking an apartment and overall it was a good experience. The apartment is very secure with keypads on both the front door and the apartment door. The apartment itself is very spacious and well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need, good fridge freezer, good oven and hob, dish washer and the counter electricals like kettle and toaster.Bathroom with bath and shower is very nice and the bedroom has a very comfortable bed and lots of storage. I would rate it good...

"Good for the price, basic room with a bit of decay in the property but perfectly clean. Close to town, room 6 that I was in was on the main street so was quite noisy from road noise etc. Not the hosts fault and it's close to town so what you would expect. Close to the canal which was a nice walk in the day. Felt safe and other occupants were quiet."

"It was ok - but not great - bed mattresses super cheap and thin- the hallway to the building smells and doesn’t feel like a safe area at all. Getting the key from the lockbox was really annoying as it is across the road at a pub this doesn’t work with heavy luggage and an Uber who is waiting !! Charged for any little thing like an hour early check in or check out However it was just grubby - fingerprints on kitchen cabinets / grubby floors and doors "

"I had not realized how beautifully located The Gresham is to old town Leicester. The Gresham could use some refurbishing (hall carpets as an example) however, the ambiance was perfect for me. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast each day was delicious with reasonable selections. My room was quite cozy and comfortable. "A beautiful heritage estate of large proportions and character. The history was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb. A beautiful country setting with beautiful views of the river and farmland. Well equipped rooms, with all appliances you could ever need. Rooms were cosy and warm. We loved using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Highly recommend and I would love to stay here again, given the opportunity."
