This place was very cozy, spacious, relaxing & very clean. I was amazed with their microwave/stove combo, I didn’t know they even existed. My kids really enjoyed the game room. Overall, it was an awesome getaway!
This cabin is, first and foremost, absolutely beautiful. Stayed with a group of friends in town for a wedding in the Bay Area, and had a lovely time. You’re literally in the middle of a forest, with stunning views and privacy.
I will say though that this cabin is relatively remote and requires some careful driving - down a steep, windy road without pavement at points. Members of our group were able to get there with Ubers/Lyfts, but honestly would STRONGLY recommend having a car and being part of a group that enjoys an adventure.
Well worth it, in my opinion, but definitely some useful information!

Promising Beginning
Promising beginning for a new rental. Much thought and care put into this cottage deep in the redwoods. Highlights include a new "drawer" microwave, free-standing ice maker, handy large teapot, lovely glass dinnerware, modern and clean shower, well-designed front patio, and smooth personal driveway (off of a bumpy entrance road.) Game room filled with enticing entertainment for kids. Helpful additions would include privacy/blackout curtains, improved air circulation on 2nd floor, and more seating for indoor eating.
Large groups need to be aware that the refrigerator is on the small side, and does not easily accommodate gallon-sized containers of milk (bring 2 half gallons instead.) Would not recommend for children under 4 due to one deep step down between living and sleeping areas, as well as cliffs off of driveway requiring awareness.
The owner was very responsive and acknowledged the issues we were having, but did not remedy them during our stay, which was only three days. That said, our issues included the heater not working on the first floor of the house (it was very cold and raining while we were there),and a serious leak, i.e. river between the lower level and the stairs leading to the second level that required us to put towels and cardboard down on a regular baisis during our stay so that we could get to the second floor without having to get our shoes and feet wet or slipping on the floor. There were a few other broken things, but none that impacted our stay like the heater and flood issue. Had the minor issues been the only thing, I would be writing a different review. The drive to the house is VERY narrow and winding and we do not suggest doing it in the dark as we did. The kitchen has great appliances but does not have any cookware that can be used in the microwave like a glass or plastic mixing bowl. Bring everything you need with you, as the drive back to Los Gatos to the grocery store is again, a long and winding road. I have mixed feelings about the rental and would not stay there again.
Overall the stay was amazing, beautiful house, peaceful and quiet. The start to the trip was stressful considering one of the neighbors wouldn't let me pull in the gate until he knew exactly where I was going. Once I finally got the listing pulled up (there was no service) he then let me go. After that, I had no issues and the stay was nice. Not sure where it came from but there was a smell of weed fairly consistently outside.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The scenery is beautiful, nestled in a forest with redwood trees. The home was clean and spacious. My children enjoyed the game room. If you aren't used to driving in the mountains, I do recommend driving to the home during the day as the road to get there is narrow and sometimes steep. I highly recommend staying at this property!

This was a great place for me and my now husband to stay with some close friends during our wedding week. The listing does say that it’ll accommodate 12 guests. However, those beds listed as “double” beds won’t comfortably accommodate 2 adults. Entering the residence was difficult. We got the key code for the gate but didn’t get the code for the door. We had to drive all the way up to the street again to be able to make a phone call to the owner to get the front toor key code. Be sure you have all the codes needed before you go past the gate, as you won’t have service past that point. There were lots of towels, which was great. Having to share one shower was hard with so many people. Over, a beautiful place to stay if you can handle the one way drive. Great place for a summer getaway for one moderate sized family or a small group of friends.
Lovely setting, almost "deafeningly quiet" in the mornings! Cabin as described, suited our family of 11 adults (ages 28 to 84) just fine. Clean, up to date with all facilities. Plenty of parking for our three vehicles. Mountainous road and private road takes some getting use to, especially at night! Cabin could use a manual of "how to's" and local places for food and adventure. Would recommend the cabin to anyone that enjoys quiet, off the path kind of location. Would stay there again if heading back to the Bay area! Thank you!
