The listing was misleading—it’s a casita, not a house. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchen/living area. My family and I visit LA often, and since our usual spot was unavailable, we ended up here. Let me be honest:
Price: Overpriced for what we got.
Location: 30 mins from Universal, near Mercado Buenos Aires.
Bathrooms:
• Showers are small with cheap, overpowering toiletries. Water splashes everywhere, making the floor slippery.
• Rust on the shower pipe, TP holder (visible in listing photos), and light fixtures. Tap water tastes metallic, so we used bottled water.
• Toilets work fine.
Bedrooms: Uncomfortable beds, plenty of blankets, but terrible sleep. Decor feels like two bros just discovered curtains.
Living Room: The futon has holes and looks like a dog attacked it. My son had to sleep on the couch.
Kitchen: Found old pizza and milk in the fridge. We used our cooler instead.
Details: Smoke alarms are removed, a closet door has no knob, and some outlets don’t work.
We’re not picky travelers, and we’ve stayed in modest casitas before—but this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed, and I once shared a flooded Texas motel with two strangers.
