Rooms were super clean. They really need to add a coffee machine in the rooms. My first impression of the area was uneasy, but once parked inside, felt good. Would stay again if they add coffee.

Front desk attendant was super rude and difficult to communicate. I booked the room for a friend for one night, we dropped him off and while helping him w/ his bags to the room we were kicked out by front desk . We didn’t understand why If only one person was staying in the room we tried to explain but yelling at us and language / culture barrier, he told us to get out ask for a refund he said no and to ask Expedia for my $$ . Expedia could not help to get a refund of a room that my friend stayed for 5min.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Hyland Inn during my recent stay. We reserved two rooms and needed to use two very small, compact parking spaces for our one large vehicle. The manager knew this as he was the one that checked my elderly parents and ourselves in. Despite this, the manager decided at 1:00am to pound on our door, screaming and demanding that we move our car. The interaction was disruptive, irrational, and also unnecessarily aggressive. When we tried to explain the situation, the manager became rude, unprofessional, and started yelling. This was completely unacceptable behavior, especially from someone in a leadership position at a hospitality business. To make matters worse, we were asked to leave, which was both humiliating and shocking. What should have been a peaceful stay turned into a stressful and unpleasant ordeal. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Additionally-The room was clean. Mattress uncomfortable, very thin pillows and comforter. Not the best neighborhood and parking is very tight.

Great service, I stayed 2 nights but the second day I tried going into my room and the key didn’t work so I had to have my key fixed, the area is the simply said ghetto area of Long Beach but other than that I’d stay here again

“Property manager” was rude, a narcissist and was anti gay. I booked this property last minute to prepare for a festival in the area, I had friends (3 gay men, 1 female) meet me at my room that way we can all leave together. They came sooner than I was ready. The “manager” called me to meet him downstairs, told me he didn’t want the cars parked inside (understandable) but then said he didn’t want “those” people here, I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t imply anything into “those”, he then said he needs them out in 10-15 minutes, I let him know that we are pregaming while I finish getting ready and having this conversation takes time away from that. I promised him we’ll all be gone in 30-45 minutes but I will ask them to move the cars in the meantime and then my registered guest and I will be back by 3-6am, alone. He says “okay, 10 minutes”, I then asked if “he knew any woman to get ready in 10 minutes?” As I walked away. And true to my word we left by 6:30, just under 40 minutes, he then calls me as we’re leaving to say he want all cars gone, I told him they were, only my car is there. He said he wanted that gone too. I asked why, he said he didn’t want us there any more. We turned back and he was there waiting and I asked him what’s going on, he said I didn’t follow his rule, and that we were trash people throwing a party at his place even though we already left was there with my guests less than an hour, at an early time and we did follow his posted rules.

Very close to Long Beach Airport and cruise terminal. Family rooms are huge with microwave and refrigerator. Great value and the check in was seamless as well as check out . Beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water . Free parking and just so close to a grocery store and restaurants. Just bring a tub stopper for the bath . Wonderful manager and cleaning staff .
