"Small motel. I didn't have much interaction with the receptionist. He had check in organized so it went fast. The room was recently painted and there was evidence of ongoing work to make it nicer. There were some things one comes to expect that were missing: kleenex, shampoo. I didn't ask to see if they were available at the desk. Coffee was available in the morning. "

"Ok for a one night stay. To be fair when we were there it was a bit crazy because of the interstate closure/detour/accident. Everyone was a bit tired from all of it. The hotel staff were great though! "

"This was our second visit to the Painted Pony and it was again a delight for everyone from the four-year old, through the tweens and teens, my grown and married children, and for Grandma and Grandpa. Lots of space, lots of fun things to do (swimming, sauna, basketball, pool, ping pong, etc. It is in the middle of nowhere, which we LOVED! Close to the Chiricahua Mts with great easy and hard hikes. The hosts were very responsive also."
