"Our stay was great, except for that one day that we didn't get to use the sauna and jacuzzi because it's maintenance day. Breakfast is sumptuous. Customer service is excellent. A quirky little town best known for being the most northern town in the world, a gateway for many Arctic expeditions (hiking, cruising, wildlife). You can't go beyond the immediate town environs without an armed guard because of polar bears.

So many options on what to do and see; most tour operators will pick you up and drop off at hotel, making getting to any activities manageable despite any weather conditions. People are friendly and the geography is just breath-taking.
