"The property was nice. Easy to get to and the staff are accommodating. We got two rooms with 2 beds. They are big enough for two people and baggage in each room. The bathrooms are shared in the hallways. Each bathroom is private and has a shower. Very clean and warm during the cold winter. Never had issues waiting for the bathroom. There were 4 bathrooms on each floor. The main building had a bar and a lounge to hang out in. Tea, coffee and water offered all day for free. Would stay here again. "

"Funken Lodge made you feel part of their ‘family’ from the word go. They replied to my emails with questions prior to travel, promptly I found the bed a little firm, but they sourced extra padding quickly at my request There are loads of nooks & crannies to sit & relax, read, or enjoy the bar food.
