Leech Lake Cabin! Near Boat Landing/Ice Road/Bear Island
Soo close to the water, you feel like you are on it !! Breathtaking sunsets, cozy winter beauty, gradual sand for swimming, fire pit, and a coveted location on the South East shore. 8 miles from Longville and 15 miles to Walker. There is a resort down the road with full bar and food within walking distance and ice roads in the winter to the hot walleye spots making for excellent ice fishing. A windy day cannot wreck a day of boat fishing since Bear Island is right there to fish around and block the wind. It's the location, setting, and amenities that make any retreat vacation..right ?
All you would expect...sleeps 6, old cabin feel with modern conveniences....read a book, compose your novel..catch your dinner(we will share our hotspots)...we waited for years to find the perfect place and are sharing it...

My family and I loved this place for a nice little weekend getaway. Very quiet neighborhood right on the water. My kids loved playing on the beach. Highly recommended, would love to stay here again.
We really enjoyed the coziness of the cabin and how accessible it was to nearby towns! The owner went above and beyond to communicate the best places to go and safe fishing spots. Highly recommend!!
We enjoyed our stay on the beautiful shores of Leech Lake.
It was quiet and peaceful despite the fourth of july fireworks one evening. Would definitely stay again!
Great cabin! Nicely furnished/ beautiful lake view and sunset view! Water got very rough on Thursday night so we relocated the boat from the cabin dock to a protected harbor slip very close by….
House was just as described, very comfortable. Had everything you would need in kitchen. We now know why everyone has boat lifts. When the wind n waves pick up you want your boat off the water.
Beautiful location, quiet neighborhood. Cabin is cozy and quiet and had everything we needed for an awesome vacation. The view of the lake is amazing and the public access is super close and not busy this time of year. One of the days was really wondy the waves on Leech Lake were a little more than we wanted to deal with so we went to a nearby lake that was much smaller and had a great time. Plenty of opportunity to find other lakes in the area!!
We stayed at this cabin last week with our family and had a great time. The water was really clean, except for two days when the wind or current changed and a bunch of algae beads (best way to describe it) moved in. When that moved out, the water was clear again. We loved swimming, boating, tubing, waterskiing and fishing. Also enjoyed the loons, geese and ducks. For such a large lake it was very quiet. Would definitely recommend staying here.
The cabin is everything the pictures show! Beautiful, clean and cozy. They even made a special deck for the grill (not pictured)! We had no issues with the cabin, other than there not being an ice machine and there being a cracked strainer (which then broke-i left the one I purchased in town).
I stayed here in June with my 14 year old daughter. Very shallow area around the dock. All neighbors have lifts for their boats, this cabin does not.
The property was great and in a good location. The fishing was poor and that's being nice. Not what I expected for the claim to be the best Walleye lake in the state. Not just my opinion but I talked to several other fisherman and none had any luck. The only complaint about the actual stay is that the trash cans had trash in them from the previous renters and either a neighborhood dog or a bear kept knocking them down and dragging the trash all over the place. I had to pick it up 3 times in 5 days. That is not the properties fault though, if the fish would have bit it would be next to perfect. Oh, and what beautiful sunsets!!
We enjoyed our stay over Christmas at this sweet property on Leech Lake. Cozy, clean and well appointed. Ice access nearby for those who wanted to fish. Enjoyed skiing inLongville too.
Cabin is everything you want in North Woods experience. Love the decor. It is incredibly close to the water. Million dollar view. Stunning at sunset. Everything in the cabin worked perfectly. Boat dock is not a place to keep the boat overnight. Too shallow and rough for our 17 footer with 115 hp . If your boat is small enough that you could pull it completely ashore it would work great. Kayaks also. This is not an issue because there is a free boat ramp about a mile away. The cabin has everything you need and then some. It has been very thoughtfully appointed and taken care of. Towels, dishes, even some spices, electric fry pan, coffee maker, coffee (some left over), linens, towels, hand soap, paper towel, it had everything. We brought way too much stuff. It was our first time to the area, we were very pleased. Great restaurants, nice town. Fishing was pretty good. We fish for pike only. Caught about 10 per day. No big ones, but they are there! No cabage weed beds to speak of which we like for pike. But could catch lots of fish in the 22 to 26 inch size. Unfortunately this is the slot you cannot keep. you can keep below 22 inch which are too small to be worth cleaning and over 26 inches which we didnt catch. Seems backwards, should let the big ones go and keep the 3 to 4 pounders. Anyway, the area has everything you need, it is beautiful country, the cabin is fantastic. You should definitely pick this place.
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. Right on the water and a nice and quiet location. Close to local restaurants and activities. Just what we were looking for.
Great property to enjoy peace and family right on the water, loved the accessibility of everything we needed and close enough to towns but far enough away for camping feel. The Pikedale lodge is .8 miles away very neat place w great food and service!
Outstanding cabin.
If we could have kept our boat at this cabin it would have been even better but the dock faces the main lake. We rented a boat slip at nearby Pikedale so we kept our boat in the water.
Bear Island was nice to be close to so we could hide from the wind.
I recommend this place, we enjoyed it.
This is an extremely well kept cabin. Plenty of parking and a nice yard. It doesn't feel like a rental property. The attention to detail, maintenance and décor makes it feel like you're staying at a friend's place. The interior layout make it feel much more spacious than the 900ish square feet with the open kitchen/dining/living area. The windows/doors/screens are all well sealed. The plumbing hot water and bathroom all work very well and the shower has ample pressure (at least compared to the restricted flow showers common on the west coast).
We did have a power outage one night. I think the wind knocked down a power line. The whole area lost power. My guess from the local's reaction is that it wasn't an uncommon occurrence. We had no problems as we had flashlights. Just mentioning it, because we were glad that we had light available. It was not a problem. It's worth mentioning that the well pump is electric so no water while the power is out. We had plenty of stuff to drink so the short duration without power didn't dampen the wonderful stay on Leech Lake.
Enjoyed our second stay at the cabin on Leech Lake. Such a perfect spot for peace and quiet, and close enough to plenty of activities. Would recommend.
