Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of The Beach on Longboat Key #224 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

This was a nice getaway from the normal routine of life. I would absolutely come back to the unit. Clean beach and quiet neighborhood. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

We have stayed at The Beach many times and will return. The unit was clean and well stocked. I do like that there is no daily housekeeping now, we did not run out of anything in our week stay. The walkways and stairs however were very dirty, the step treads were black. The north stairwell had a sort of dirty odor too. Looked like the facility just needed a little TLC on the exterior. Amazing stay though and will be back again. Also, will refer others to The Beach.

The staff was great The location was very good It was wonderful to look out on the water But the room itself was dated, badly in need of a coat of paint, the bathroom tile needed grout, the tub water was only moderately warm, the floor tiles in spots were cracked, the kitchen cabinets were in need of fresh stain. The kitchen utensils provided a poor assortment of silverware and pots.

Great Location near Sarasota airport but quiet and relaxing!
The Beach condo complex was small, quiet, and relaxing with wonderfully close beach access and a great view out the 2nd floor porch window. The complex was a little older but well maintained. The only surprise was that the washer and dryer was only one for the complex of 10-12 units and was centrally located on property like a laundry mat.

Nice facility, great location, much smaller than anticipated.
The condo was in good shape overall, and the facility was pretty well maintained. The pool was a good temperature, the beach clean (and close!), and the laundry facility on-site was convenient. However, the washing machine in particular was quite dirty, and the stairs/walkways could use a good pressure-washing. The beach was very private, which was nice, and was not very busy - however it was December. Management and staff were friendly and accommodating. The biggest issue I had aside from the cleanliness was that the condo was much smaller than I expected. The "bedroom" was just big enough to fit the bed - very little room to move around it, and the living room had to be rearranged to get the pull-out sofa bed extended. We made it work, but for a family with two adults and two kids under 8 years old, it was a little tight. It also would have been nice to have access to a vacuum and/or broom to clean the floors - after a day of beach-going, it was pretty sandy in the room. I would stay here again, but probably not with my kids along for the ride.

The location is fantastic. If you’re looking for top of the line luxury, this may not meet your need. If you’re looking for comfortable and very relaxing, this can’t be beat. We had one minor issue and management handled it very quickly on a holiday weekend. We have no complaints whatsoever.

Great location along the beach and Gulf of Mexico Drive, convenient to St. Armand Circle, Publix and a short drive to Anna Maria Island. Clean little unit. No elevator to second floor but was not a problem for us. Great access to the beach and beautiful view of sunrises / sunsets.

The perfect honeymoon
My husband and I wanted a lowkey, beach honeymoon. I've never been to this part of Florida, but WOW! So beautiful, clean, and plenty to do. Our air B&B had the most perfect beach access, quite and clean. They even had umbrellas, and chairs for us to use as we please. Just a short 20 minute drive to the downtown area, with tons of fantastic restaurants. We will absolutely be back! 10/10 Recommend!

Property was not as advertised. Refrigerator was not working, couch was not the one pictured (it was very dirty), Air Conditioning vents were caked with dust, and the bed had bed bugs.

Beautiful location! Our room was very dated. The dishwasher was FILTHY and Old and stained. The floor boards were stained and coming off the walls. The floor was not clean on arrival I had to sweep and then buy Swiffer's and clean myself. All dishes were dirty on arrival and required cleaning before using including silverware. (Likely a problem from the poorly running dishwasher). We found rodent droppings under the sink. When storing our suitcases under the bed we found a very dusty magazine with another person's name on it. The TV's were small with poor connection to the Wifi. The quality if kitchen utensils was extremely poor and a knife broke in half while using it to cut an apple. Staff we spoke to before arrival were rude. I would not stay again in this unit. We were told by staff there have been requests to the owners to update this unit. It is needed.

The location of the property was wonderful, the staff were helpful, and it was clean and well-furnished. However, the unit was very small. The bedroom dresser was in the living room, and the kitchen table was crowded into the living area. The window treatments weren't working properly. We appreciated the use of the Cedars Club for pickleball and use of the bicycles.

The studio overall was okay- it’s very tiny for a family of 4 not enough room to move around. The view was the best part of this studio along with the area being very nice and family friendly. The internet was very slow and most of the time we couldn’t view things on the TV. Other than that it we had a great time. We definitely will visit Longboat Key again.

Can't get a better view and beach for the price anywhere on Longboat Key!! Everything you need is within 10 mins and the sunsets are amazing!! More than likely, you'll see dolphins everyday from your balcony!!
