RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck, so guests can read email, surf the Internet and soak up the Florida sun all at the same time!



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands #232 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

The room itself was clean and was well decorated with a beachy vibe. It was a perfect location for 2 people to spend a couple days at the beach with access to some good local restaurants . The property itself is a bit outdated but it’s hard to beat the location.

Old school Longboat Key Resort
Very quiet and beautiful resort, love the screened in porches and full kitchens! Pool was very clean, as was the rest of the property. Nothing fancy, but I personally like that, and the short stroll to the beach is absolutely beautiful! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful,also.

A Nice Little Place
The property is accurately described, nice front room with kitchenette. The bedroom is fine and the bathroom too. Folks at the office are very nice and helpful. We liked the access to Cedars tennis, a very nice feature. We enjoyed using the pool and grill cooking and the beach is nice too. We will go back.

Quick weekend trip for my husbands birthday. We wanted to enjoy the beach since the hurricane did much damage by our home in Fort Myers. This was the perfect spot. Great location. Reasonably priced. Plenty of beach and pool equipment to use. Nice restaurants in the area as well.

Furthest unit from pool & beach BUT we loved it.
Older small unit without a lot of niceties. Pretty bare bones. We were given half of a sponge in the kitchen and a teeny tiny Palmolive. 2 bathroom wash clothes. The beach is so private and beautiful. The pool is kept in perfect condition and is a nice temperature. We had a nice stay. Margaret in the office was incredible.

Beautiful Getaway on the Beach!
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely efficiency. The rooms were sparkling clean, and well stocked with towels, beach towels, pillows and blankets. The pool was clean with well-maintained lounge chairs. Umbrellas, beach carts, boogie boards and beach chairs were available for our use free of charge. Best of all was the gorgeous beach and aqua blue gulf waters. Would highly recommend!

Location, Location, Location !!
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean and comfortable. The ability to walk steps to the beach, then pool, etc. was ideal for a week of relaxation. Margaret was incredibly helpful and does an amazing job in the manager's office. Note the road is very close and you will hear cars through the night. This was not a problem for us but might bother others.

This is a beautiful location that is very private. The lady in the office was always helpful and very kind. We had a late check in and the process was very easy. Parking is challenging. Other than that we loved it.

Longboat Key Gem
This was our 2nd stay at Silver Sands. The location is perfection, steps to the beach, a quick drive to St. Armand Circle. The staff is responsive and friendly. Our room was very clean. Many amenities. Had a lovely dinner at Dry Dock, a short distance down the road. Longboat Key is the place to unwind and decompress. It’s very quiet. We’ll be back.
