We stayed for a long weekend and it was the perfect little spot to get away to. We caught some fish off of the public docks around the area and had a nice time relaxing in the evening at the clean and comfy cabin!
Cabin is very nice, clean, and close to the water. We caught northern pike, walleye, crappie, and bluegills right off the dock! Excellent sunsets over the lake as well!
Neat and clean little lake cabin. This was a great getaway to start our summer with some fishing and relaxing in the sun. The lake was super clear and clean with ducks, loons, geese, deer, and turkeys all making their presence known. Definitely would stay again!
The cabin was clean, cozy and quiet. We enjoyed fishing when the weather allowed for it (really windy)and we all caught a northern! The evenings we enjoyed relaxing and watching movies! It was really neat watching the Amish come by every day. Overall we had a nice get-away and would definitely stay again!
This was one of my family’s favorite places to stay where we could get out of the city (Omaha, NE) and relax and unwind. The Amish horse and carriages that went by every day all day was a delightful view as well as the scenic view of the lake and watching the sun set and rise! Super quiet place which allowed for uninterrupted relaxation! Would definitely stay here again!
My husband and his friends were there for a fishing tournament and had a wonderful time. This cabin is definitely on our “list of favorites”. A+++.
Note: there is parking for boats.
The three night stay with my two boys (10 and 11) was very memorable. We had great weather and excellent fishing. My boys were full of questions about the Amish horse and buggies that drove by throughout the day. They also enjoy the nearby drive in theater (their first time seeing a movie at one.
This cabin is PERFECT for a quiet get away!!! And omg the SUNSETS!!! Chris contacted us when we got there and was a great host. Fishing off the dock was so relaxing. Caught some small walleyes but the bluegills were nice sized. The neighbors were all friendly and it was really neat watching the Amish buggies.
The cabin was amazing. The beds were so comfortable!! The first day we got there we immediately saw lots of Amish people from the community surrounding us. The nature was something else. Waking to the sound of the loon every morning was very calming. We did some minor fishing. Didn’t catch anything too crazy. Still nice to get the poke in the water. I don’t think we could say anything negative about our experience even if we tried. We would love to come back again!!
The location of your cabin was ideal for us, less than 2 hours from the Twin Cities. We loved how quiet it was. We had friends visit one afternoon and the table on the deck overlooking the lake was perfect for playing games. Our only issue was we couldn't get the DVD player to work consistently, most times it was fine but a couple times it didn't work.
Not a lot of fish but this place was great, had a beautiful place just to relax at. Chris was so friendly and checked on us to see if everything was OK. Gave us good fishing tips. too.
Everything was provided that would allow us to kick up our feet, sit back and relax. Beautiful, calm waters…hummingbirds, geese, pelicans, loons all visible for our listening and viewing pleasure. Ample deck and fire pit for lounging. We even watched a few movies from the extensive library of dvds available. Very enjoyable experience. We would definitely return!
We only stayed for 3 days due to an unfortunate miscommunication. Those 3 days were quite peaceful and quiet enough to meditate on the deck overlooking the lake, distracted only by the call of the loon and the clip-pity clop of the horses pulling the Amish buggies. I read two books reclining by the fire pit day one and on the dock the next…grateful for the joy.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights at this beautiful cabin. It was clean. We loved the t & g wood throughout along with the cabin decor. We caught fish right off the dock. I used one of the kayaks provided and caught pretty big fish that included Northerns. I missed 2 huge largemouth bass 5 lbers because they got loose before I could get them onboard the kayaks. (Bring a net next time). All fish were caught and released so others may enjoy catching them.
The breeze from the lake kept the cabin cool at night while we popped in a movie to watch. The weather didn't cooperate as it rained most of the time but there were plenty to do and keep entertained. I loved seeing and waiving to the Amish people. Loved the place and would come back especially during ice fishing season. Thanks for having us. Yang Family, Woodbury MN.
Description was right on. Almost everything, except food, was provided. Property manager called on arrival day, we did not have any problems, so no more contact was made. Fished off the dock, on unseasonably warm weather. Caught some nice bluegills, a great way to spend a summer day. Very quiet, enjoyed the Amish on horse and buggy going past the cabin. A wonderful stay.
