Located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains we offer our family vacation house for your next vacation. Our house is located in Emerald Lake community. 10 minutes from Camelback Ski Resort, 3 minutes from Kalahari water park, Camelbeach Mountain Water Park, Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski Resort, Pocono Raceway, Mt. Airy Casino, the Crossings Premium Outlets, Big Pocono State Park, and state game lands. Ski, snowboard, swim, hunt, fish, hike, kayak, bike, or spectate at a world-class racetrack!
Your friends and family are sure to enjoy our great living room with large TV screen 120”, large kitchen, large dining room, game room, elevated multi-tier decks Overlooking Lake. Spacious getaway
The property is very spacious and even included a sauna next to a walk in shower. The hot tub was available 24-7 and great for relaxing. I would recommend arriving during the daytime because you can easily miss a turn in the dark. Overall a great stay for the price and many added bonuses! Safe travels

Great spot - medium house
We did have a really good time during our stay at the house. It’s right on the lake with amazing docks and access to boats. The theater room is great and so is the game room. The hot tub and the sauna are awesome. The house was a little bit disappointing with details like a missing toilet paper holder, some peeling paint, and uneven deck boards. The host was very responsive. Not luxury but still a good spot.

Wonderful summer vocation
My friends and I spent a wonderful weekend in this lake front house. The lake is beautiful and deck directly from backyard to the lake. We kayaked and did fishing on the lake. BBQ on the higher deck all the afternoon. We have three kids and two dogs. All got very happy that sunny and cool summer weekend. It has plenty of bedrooms, very spacious. The only advice I have is that I hope the own put more kayaks there. There is only one kayak and one boat. We would like to have couples to take two kayaks to enjoy their time but we have to do it by turn.

The place looked beautiful in the photos but up close, it was dismal. The whole place needs an extensive upgrade. A sewer cap was off in front of the house and the smell was awful. Plaster was peeling from the wall over the kitchen sink. The range in the kitchen was terrible; it took over 6 hours to bake a chicken in the oven and the burners on the electric range wouldn't maintain a steady temperature. It was an ordeal getting a warm shower; it took forever for the water to heat up. And, we couldn't get WIFI! There were no wash cloths or face towels to be found anywhere and when we swept the floors moulding from around the walls kept coming loose in several areas. The only really nice thing about the place was the movie room; it was spacious with lots of comfortable seating and the movie screen was huge making it feel like you were at the movies. I read the reviews before I rented the place and did see multiple complaints, especially about the kitchen range. But I gave the place the benefit of the doubt because the pictures were so nice. Big Mistake!

If I based my review off of the location, it would be 5 stars. The home itself is in a quiet neighborhood, herds of deer walking through your front yard, with a lake & dock connected to the home. The location itself is beyond beautiful. But then you get to the house. Besides the fact that there was a small live cockroach under the kitchen sink, and huge ants that take over the home - the house itself is practically in shambles. You walk into the front door and trip over a board in-front of the door that’s loose. No central air - all window units that were a hassle to figure out, as none were connected to the window. Some bedrooms didn’t have air conditioner units at all, and you can’t open the window because there’s no screens with huge spiders waiting to crawl in. Home was filthy - though we were charged a “cleaning fee” in the booking fees when the home itself has CLEARLY never been cleaned from prior parties that have stayed. (Cobwebs in corners. Dishwasher still full from the last people that stayed, bugs everywhere, trash in the closets). The back deck also has a loose board that they covered with a outdoor rug in hopes we wouldn’t see OR FEEL when we step outside ?? The deck is covered with lights which would be SUPER cute, if they worked. It goes to the extent that the strand of lights is missing bulbs on each strand. Not sure if the fridge even worked out entire stay, as our case of water probably could have gotten colder sitting outside on the back deck. I’m not sure where to even continue on about the house but please read reviews before you decide to book. We walked in and felt bamboozled.

Wouldn't stay again
I have owned my own vacation rental and know what it takes to keep them nice. I have been to units all over Europe, Caribbean and US. This was the 1st disappointed VRBO I have ever visited. Climbing the steps that were loose and trying to open the door and it wouldn't open since a board was warped and loose that we couldn't even open the door. Or get back out once we were inside. We hammered it back in place ourselves. The interior does offer everything that was listed albeit no maintenance was down in at least 5 years. Like the Feb 2022 comment said "These pics are old" The rear door is still broken since Feb and now has painters tape to keep the glass shards in place. The door was rotten and the locks are a kick away from getting in. The oven needs replaced. The digital panel was not in place and completely broke when trying to turn the oven on. The owner had the nerve to say it wasn't broken before when clearly it says in numerous reviews that the oven didn't work property. We couldn't even get the temp to go up since you can't push the buttons. We did finally get it started but only at 350. Every room had something broken. Some safety issues as well. Missing smoke detectors, no hand rails to basement. A/C units need emptied, we did clean the filter and got it back on, but we shouldn't have to hook up a hose to empty the unit. I understand the exterior is hard to maintain in the woods but this hasn't had garbage picked up or cared for recently. For the amount of rent charged a lot more was expected. No instructions for anything. The projector we couldn't get to play DVD's, notes to pay for garbage at $5/bag, but no bags, so bring your own. The reviews from Feb are still accurate and the items she mentioned are still broken. The snow didn't cause the damages inside. It was a shame because we were excited to use the hot tub, but didn't get in it since the place wasn't maintained everywhere else and were concerned for bacteria. The pool table and fooseball, sauna are all located in the mildew basement. It did rain for the first day so we never did sit out on the deck because all the cushions were stained and wet. One good note: The mattresses were all good. And the owner was responsive when texted. There was just nothing he could do with the stove but replace it.

Great location, disappointing house
The location of this home is wonderful and the lake is beautiful.We enjoyed our time on the dock.We also enjoyed the use of the kayak and pedal boat.That being said, we were very disappointed in the overall state of the home itself.There is a general feeling of disrepair and neglect about the home - think frat house or Senior Week .The movie room has only one piece of furniture for people to sit on, a small sectional sofa that is on wheels and constantly moved on the tile floor and separated itself. We had to carry chairs down from the master bedroom to provide more seating.The assortment of pots and pans is disgraceful - non stick coating peeling off, very limited sizes - all need to be thrown out. Also there are few large bowls and no serving platters, so cooking for the large crowd that this house accommodates was very difficult - I ended up buying plastic bowls at Walmart.The coffee maker pieces were not with the coffeemaker so it took multiple tries with the input of all guests to finally assemble it correctly so that we could have coffee.The pantry in the kitchen is full of what appears to be years of the owners accumulated junk making it unusable to store any food. The ice maker worked, but did not dispense ice through the door.The dishwasher door does not line up properly and needs a hard shove to the side to make it latch.The bedrooms, with the exception of the master, are very small and sparsely furnished with what appear to be cast off items. The bedroom linens do not include top sheets - bring your own if you don't like sleeping directly under the comforter.The upper outdoor deck furniture included a table and chairs and not much else - fortunately we had brought our own camping chairs, so we used them. The small balcony off of the master suite was furnished with two auditorium type folding chairs. The sliding screen door to the balcony is off the track so there is a large gap that bugs can enter if the glass is left open.The bed on the main floor that is advertised as queen size is not, it is full size. There is no queen size bed in the basement as advertised, possibly the owner considers the two small leather couches to be a bed. There is a room in the basement that I initially thought was a bedroom, but upon opening the door saw that it was a large closet type room with all sorts of junk thrown around it - a smashed chair included.Bottom line,the location can't be beat.Unfortunately the house itself left a lot to be desired.

Not as advertised! Do not stay
The pictures are NOT current state of the property. It’s falling apart!! Outside: Stairs & decking leading to property is OLD breaking & in need of replacement/repair. The fence is held up by 2x4’s. The hot tub was “open” green & 51 degrees. There was trash all around the property (including car battery & open bags of mulch in driveway) & there was electric sockets & extension cords with plastic thrown over it. Main floor: There were 2 hangers in the closet (ad says sleeps 14) along with a filthy air conditioner, mops, brooms, filthy seat cushions & closet door was broken. The media room was a good idea but the furniture was older than dirt, worn & the only 2 chairs were both broken, fireplace broken, kitchen was “filthy”, pots & pans & shelves in closets were sticky. Stove has a broken knob, refrigerator was “missing all but one door shelving, & there was a broken shelf inside. Fridge “said” it was also ice maker, but “no water” source. Dining room had VERY wobbly table with only 6 chairs. (Ad said house accommodates 14). Meanwhile 3 of the 6 chairs were broken. We found “filthy” folding chairs in basement & cleaned them to use. Patio door was CLEARLY broken & missing glass & appeared to be kicked in at one time. Door jam was broken & never replaced, floor is water damaged. We had to put a chair against it to even close it. 2 out of the 4 bathrooms are UNDONE (holes in wall, etc) & EVERY faucet was backwards in water temperature. Cold was hot and hot was cold! Laundry room was dusty, dirty with broken door on top of broken wall heater. Closet in that room was cluttered & full of junk. Upstairs: Bannister leading upstairs was wobbly & dangerous! They attempted to do renovations upstairs in the bedrooms. Master bedroom bed was the worst. The mattress had broken slats under the bed. Bathroom in master was ok, but the shared bathroom had broken wall heater, shower head coming off of wall & needed paint. Basement: smelled moldy & did NOT have a pull out couch for sleeping as advertised!! So we were a bed short. The bathroom down there was creepy UNDONE & clearly thrown together with pieces of everything. The garage was a filthy mess. The ENTIRE house had paint chipping off the wall & it is NOT rental ready!! We stayed because we didn’t have a choice. You don’t know what your getting til you get there. They had $1900 from me and it was non refundable. I hope VRBO checks reviews this needs to be removed!! I have pictures!!!

The place was dirty, worn and not welcoming. Very disappointed at the cleanliness of the property.
The deck flooring needs repaired. The hot tub was set at 75 and smelled. Filters were dirty. The kitchen sink had mold, dishes had to be washed before we used them. The microwave and refigerator were dirty. Dead flies on floors and tables. Left over glitter from previous guests. Railings were unstable. Outside deck railings were broken. Worst vrbo that i have stayed at!

great weekend
The house was large and had room enough for everyone. Giant video screen was great for games and movie night. The lake was awesome and quiet, we could canoe, kayak, and swim off the dock. Barbecued on the deck. hot worked great. The house is older and needs some updates, but for a weekend getaway, it was fine. bedrooms were comfortable there are A/C units in every room - not central air. the owner is very responsive and agreeable. We had a good time - we would do it again.

Lakehouse Weekend
The house is large and had room enough for all the family members. Giant video screen was great for games and movie night. Lake was awesome, canoe and two kayaks. Used those a lot. Barbecued on the deck. Played pool in the basement game room. Some notes - It is not handicapped accessible if you need that, Two flights of stairs to get down to the lake. The house is older and needs some upkeep, but for a 4 day getaway it was fine for us. There are A/C units in every room - not central air. We had a good time - I would do it again.

Great time at this lake house!
We all had a great time! Fully enjoyed the lake for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. We were two families, 9 total occupants. We cooked and grilled most meals. The hot tub, sauna and theater room were an added bonus! We plan to go back again!
