The Best Western Long Beach Inn unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Upon check-in, I was assigned a handicap-accessible room, which I didn’t need or request. When I asked about switching, I was informed that this type of room was given because I booked through Expedia at a discounted rate. While I understand policies may vary, this explanation felt a bit dismissive and could have been handled with more care, especially considering how important accessibility is for those who truly need it.
The room itself had some issues. I noticed a small roach on the nightstand lamp, and there was leftover food under the bed, which was disappointing. The fridge also made odd noises throughout the night, which was a bit disruptive. Additionally, the overall smell of the property was not very pleasant, which impacted my comfort during the stay.
I hope management takes steps to address these concerns, as this hotel has potential with a bit more attention to cleanliness and customer service. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until these improvements are made.
