Upper Apartment in listed Georgian Town House in South Central London

This 65-sq-metre (700-sq-ft) apartment has a generous size kitchen/diner/sitting room and two good size bedrooms - one that can be set up with twin beds or a UK superking double and one with a UK king double bed. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge.

The fully-equipped kitchen/diner/sitting room has tv, dvd, stereo, dishwasher, fridge, microwave/conventional oven, stove, iron, ironing board, safe, nespresso and expresso machine and cafetiere (French press).

Access to the Upper Apartment is via a communal hallway and staircase at our home called Griffin House – access to the stunning 250 sqm gardens is on ground floor
the gardens have different sections such as subtropical terrace with BBQ and large wooden table, the English garden with croquet lawn and sundowner bench, swing seat, daytime beds and the ponds garden with pond for turtles, fish, chicken, sunrise bench, summerhouse, zen area from ground floor . Please note that the access to the garden is through our private quarters and is only daytime possible.

Jumping off point for exploring London
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment---it was comfortable for our family of five (two adults and three teens), is located close to the tube for easy travel, and was within easy walking distance of shopping areas and parks. The owners of the property were available and friendly. The garden is an absolute oasis! Highly recommend.

Great flat in Brixton
We had a lovely stay in this rental. The location was great and the host was very accomodating. It's a great place for those who want to stay in a neighborhood setting while still being a short tube ride to central London. I highly recommend!

Bruno and Nico were wonderful
We had a wonderful time staying at the top level apartment for 4 days. Ben was out of the country on a holiday, so we only got to meet Nico and their adorable dog Bruno. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Our teens shared one of the bedrooms, and their Dad and I were in the master, the living area and kitchen was perfect for us to hang out together in and the Underground station was only a few mins walk from the apartment. The only reason I gave the neighborhood 3 stars is because it’s not centrally located in London, a bit more on the outskirts. For our family it was just what we were looking for, but others might want something closer to all the main attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Fab location for a really enjoyable family trip to london. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful including Bruno the dog) and the space was ideal for chilling out in the evenings after a busy day. Highly recommended.

Space large enough for family of 4
My family really enjoyed our stay in the upper apartment. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating (even had chocolates for our kids). The location is easily accessible to the Tube, and the Brixton Village and Brixton Pop were a short walk away for shopping and eating. The entrance to the upper apartment is via the owners' living area. So in that sense, it is somewhat similar to a "bed and breakfast". It felt like being guests in a home (but the upper apartment has a lockable door and is fully contained). Highly recommended, and I was sorry to not be able to say "goodbye" to the hosts when we left.

Lovely flat that felt like home!
I spent months deciding on which flat to book for my family’s trip to London, and I definitely ended up picking the perfect one. The flat itself is clean, roomy, and comfortable. And we found the location to be perfect - it’s in a quiet neighborhood, but it’s so easy to get into central London on either the tube or the bus. Nico and Ben were both so welcoming and kind, and that’s what truly made the stay memorable. We enjoyed chatting with them in the garden, and my youngest loved feeding the turtles. And I can’t leave out Bruno, whom my kids all said was the best dog they met on our trip (and we did meet a lot!) If we’re lucky enough to make it back to London, we’ll definitely be staying again.

Great experience in a local neighborhood
The apartment is very roomy and had everything we needed for a family of 4. We liked having the experience of being in a neighborhood vs a tourist area. You do walk through the owner's part of the house to access the apartment, but the owners are very friendly and it wasn't an issue. We felt safe in the neighborhood.

Great property that is away from London Central but a short walk to the tube and 4-5 stops to Trafalgar square. Excellent hosts though we suspect Bruno (the dog) is the real organiser. There are stairs which was no problem for us but worth noting. Very cosy

Spacious and well located

Great value and location!
The flat was exactly what our family needed for our short break in London. Great location close to the tube and well connected bus lines. Our hosts, Ben and Nico, were super helpful with recommendations of places to eat and with providing fans for our rooms during the heatwave (and their dog was an added bonus for our kids!). The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in London!

A Great find!
The apartment was well located with easy access to the tube & bus into central London & beyond, an easy 5-10min walk away. There was a small supermarket directly opposite plus others close by for all we needed. The Upper 2-bedroom apartment was spacious, well equipped and beds were comfortable. We stayed for 9-nights during the initial heat wave early part of July – the apartment was still comfortable with openable windows and fans provided. We had access to the garden to cool down and enjoy the warm weather. The Landor Pub close by had a nice beer garden. Nicholas & Ben were very friendly, accommodating and were keen to help and assist if needed to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. They were very responsive to queries etc and were generally around to speak if needed during our stay. Not to forget Bruno – who proved a family favourite and liked to greet us on your return. We would certainly consider returning next time we are in London.

Great apartment in London. I wanted to stay in a property with some history and this apartment was perfect. There was a book in the apartment explaining how the owners acquired the property. The owner/host was so friendly and accommodating that we felt right at home. The apartment was actually bigger than I expected and the garden was nice for relaxing in the evenings. I would recommend this property.

Stop looking, stay here!
Many facets of the travel experience include exploring new places, seeing historical sights and trying new foods. We also love interacting with local people. Staying with Nicholas, Ben and Bruno the dog was a fabulous experience. The flat was great and our hosts went over and above for us. They made our stay fantastic by their kindness and consideration. Just like home !
Very nice stay close to all points of interest with the tube or the buses (like bus 88). The flat was clean and very cosy. We really felt at home after a long day's walk. A small supermarket just opposite is convenient if a little expensive. A big Lidl near the tube station provided all me needed. Quiet area, nice garden and very kind landlord. We will definitely come back !

Lovely Oasis in London
The flat is very comfortable and clean. Feels like coming home after a busy day exploring London. Getting into the West End and the City, as well as South London is excellent from here with Stockwell Station having access to both the Victoria and the Northern Lines. The flat looks better in real life than it does in the pictures. Nick and Ben are excellent hosts and we’d be happy to stay here again.
