I'm a super fussy traveller, I like to stay in quality accommodations. Travelodge satisfies my standards for cleanliness, basic comfort, safety and efficiency, without the frills, providing excellent value for money. The Twickenham Travelodge is next door to trains, supermarket, great pubs, cafes and restaurants. Sound-proof rooms are a big bonus given the busy locale.

Twickenham stay
The hotel has obviously been modernised and in good condition, I was slightly disappointed that we had to pay an early check in fee of £10 - we had arrived at 14.20 and would have had to wait 10mins until 14.30 to avoid the £10 - as we were there for the Aviva Rugby Cup Final, which started at 14.30pm we paid it so we could get to the stadium without missing too much of the game! Annoyingly the receptionist took so long booking us in it was almost 14.30 by the time we got out key! I just couldn't be bothered to argue about it.
Later we found that the sink in our bathroom was blocked, although the staff were extremely polite they could only offer us another room, which we declined as it was midnight by then, but they very kindly offered us a free breakfast.
On the whole, I would recommend and stay here again. The location is perfect. Right next to the railway station and close enough to the town and stadium. Although our room was on the side of the station, we couldn't hear the trains - the windows kept the noise out and the trains are fairly quiet running.
I'm glad we didn't pay for breakfast - it wasn't particularly appetising.
Got stranded by the Heathrow cancellation issues and was able to organise a reservation at 10pm for an 11:30pm arrival. Got a 7th floor room and had a nice view over Twickenham station and surrounding area. We had a good time here and were suitably refreshed for onward travel.
Instead of getting the family room we booked 3 weeks in advance through Expedia, we had to be split in to 2 double rooms which was an absolute nightmare with the kids. Made everything a lot more difficult than it should have been.....

Close to train and eateries
The hotel was fine and an easy location for the train. Restaurants were nearby. Parking was a bit of a hassle but wasn't that big of an issue. The parking isn't on-site so we had to shuttle cases back and forth thru the 2 parking lots and across the street and downstairs in a garage. It was fine.
The only criticism would be that the Travelodge system does not talk to other travelodges but perhaps it is a franchise thing. We showed up at the Twickenham hotel and they did not have a family room for us. They suggested we try the Teddington Travelodge 5 minutes away but they couldn't contact them for us. I imagine it is because it is not a higher-end hotel but I thought it was strange.
Right next to the station. Nice rooms. Pretty cheap, considering.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Basic but good
We were happy with our room, though on the small side for five people, it met our needs for a place to stay for the night. The room was very clean, however we weren't given enough towels for the number of guests - 3 towels for 5 people! The breakfast in the morning was great for a reasonable price!

Basic hotel in centre of Teddington.
I stayed four days while visiting friends. The location was ideal, but the room was rather basic as were the dining-room, food, bar and reception, but there were plenty of good eating and drinking places nearby. Room rate was reasonable, even inexpensive, for this part of London so I got what I paid for and can't complain. Staff were fine and helpful.
excellent choice of hotel
Right next to Twickenham railway station
Fairly priced
Newly decorated so very clean and room size is good
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Would def book this hotel again
We stayed overnight when we went to see Lady Gaga excellent all round could not complain about a thing would recommend as close to stadium and railway station
The hotel was lifted from the fairly basic but perfectly adequate, to a very pleasant place to stay by the courteous, friendly and extremely helpful young staff. We chose this hotel as a convenient one night stop-over and so were not looking for a huge range of facilities. As such we were very pleased with our experience and would not hesitate to use again.
