Pay for a cheap room in an expensive city and this is what you get. The wash basin leaked straight onto the floor - I reported it and was told 'don't' use it.' Great advice. Room 11 BTW - I expect it's still not fixed. The radiator was on full and no way to turn it down. The window opened an inch for fresh air, so I had the noise from every night worker to enjoy. Not that it mattered, as the army surplus bed was so noisy, the springs squealed so much that it merely added to the cacophony of noise. I was perhaps unlucky to visit whilst the Venerable Order of Late Night Door Slammers was also in town, but I suspect they may be in permanent residence. I wouldn't wash my dog in the shared bathroom (I didn't have my dog, I'm merely trying to impart an idea of how poor the washing facilities were). The staff were OK. Do yourself a favour - either save yourself £30 and stay in a genuine hostel, or spend another £30 and get a nearly decent hotel with your own throne and shower. This is the worst of all compromises. The good? It's only a 15 minute walk to Kings Cross/St Pancreas, and you can go anywhere in the world from there....
