I've known that London loves to misrepresent herself about the properties for rent.Earl's Court area apartments which are really hostels, B&B's that are really 1 above hostels or 2 and 3 star properties that are really 1 or 1.5. The Saint George Hotel is one of those places that, much like people, fit the term good from far, far from good. Approaching the property, in an apartment block that seems to have other hotels in them as well, had promise. Nice entrance, nice doorway....until I was told that my King Size Room with a City View (as described on your website) was actually tucked away in the basement. I've attached photos of the room to show the city view, which likely mean aspects of a city - such as an air conditioning unit and drain pipes. My room was nestled next to the linen room and one door over was the common area for breakfast. I was also directly under the reception area and so I heard a lot of traffic. The City View and King Size Bed included: 1) a dingy bathroom that had crusted water an mildew stains; 2) lumpy and springworn twin mattresses shoved together and sealed with a king size fitted sheet to PRETEND to be one mattress; 3) the aforementioned city view of the air conditioning unit and drain pipes; 3) an old fashioned bathroom; 4) a crack running across the ceiling; 5) a crusted over and rusty kettle that I was afraid to use for fear of contracting tetanus and 6) as travelling safe as well as no locks on the windows. I will be requesting a refund.
