No value for money. Rooms are very small, don’t pay for a deluxe one, seems as tiny as the standard rooms. Nice staff though.

Breaking the rules?
Radiator was far too hot. They asked to photograph my driving licence, which I said I was uncomfortable about and it was unnecessary. They insisted in taking it and implied I could not stay without letting them. The room was prepaid through Hotels.com so I said it was not needed.

Basement flat passes for City View
I've known that London loves to misrepresent herself about the properties for rent.Earl's Court area apartments which are really hostels, B&B's that are really 1 above hostels or 2 and 3 star properties that are really 1 or 1.5. The Saint George Hotel is one of those places that, much like people, fit the term good from far, far from good. Approaching the property, in an apartment block that seems to have other hotels in them as well, had promise. Nice entrance, nice doorway....until I was told that my King Size Room with a City View (as described on your website) was actually tucked away in the basement. I've attached photos of the room to show the city view, which likely mean aspects of a city - such as an air conditioning unit and drain pipes. My room was nestled next to the linen room and one door over was the common area for breakfast. I was also directly under the reception area and so I heard a lot of traffic. The City View and King Size Bed included: 1) a dingy bathroom that had crusted water an mildew stains; 2) lumpy and springworn twin mattresses shoved together and sealed with a king size fitted sheet to PRETEND to be one mattress; 3) the aforementioned city view of the air conditioning unit and drain pipes; 3) an old fashioned bathroom; 4) a crack running across the ceiling; 5) a crusted over and rusty kettle that I was afraid to use for fear of contracting tetanus and 6) as travelling safe as well as no locks on the windows. I will be requesting a refund.

Great location nice entrance and smart stairway. Friendly staff. Room was good size. Beds a bit dated, one of the single beds had a spring sticking out which my daughter could feel. Bathroom clean but dated - particularly shower. Shower up full heat was only Luke warm. Could leave bags for day on check out. Could be improved but it was clean and super convenient location.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in
I use daily medication that needs to be stored in the fridge. I specifically searched on hotels with a fridge in the room for this reason. Just to be on the safe side, I also specified in the Notes section of the form that this is a necessity as I would be using it for medication. Upon arrival I found that the fridge was not working (I didn't think it was turned on at first). When I raised the problem, I was told that it did work just not very well (it was warm). When I asked to be moved to another room with a working fridge I was told that all of the fridges are broken. I explained that I had booked the hotel specifically for this reason because my injections need to be kept cold and had only found the hotel based on searching for hotels with fridges in the rooms. I was told that they couldn't even store it in their kitchen fridge because "it was full" and "it gets locked at night". Staff were rude and insensitive. The words 'I'm sorry" were never said at any point. I had to travel for hours to leave my medication in the fridge of someone I know who lives outside London and then had to travel back there again in the early morning (and was without it overnight). What should have been a nice stay in London turned into horrendous experience which left me in tears. The hotel was very shabby (see photos of bathroom) certainly not a 3 or 4 star. This hotel does not have any working fridges so this should not be advertised. I hate the idea of this happening to anyone else.

Ideal location close Marble Arch and tubes and bus
Hotel was fine, we was in the basement and the rooms where quite big with tv in both rooms. Only had a shower no bath. However, it was ok. The hotel staff where extremely noisy from 06:30am this was because they where putting breakfast out which was served until 9:30. The room next door to us had an overwhelming smell of smoke which we could smell very strongly throughout our stay and off put us having breakfast there.

This hotel is a disaster. Wet Mold in rooms and basically a social services level property tucked into a nice neighborhood. And this hotel aint't cheap!! We booked a family room in Jan 2018 for four nights - six months before arrival. Upon arrival they put us in a dingy - moldy - filthy room(s) in the basement. We told the staff our daughter has asthma and we could not stay in the basement with mold. They refused to do anything and said the hotel was booked. We promptly told them we would check out after two nights as we could not make other arrangements so quickly. They would not refund any portion of our money and were actually snipet about it. I tried working through Expedia to get a refund for at least two nights to no avail. This hotel should be taken off their list of accommodation. Let me tell you - it is worth going to a name brand hotel in London as these filithy social service subsidized hotels are prevalent.

A good spot for a Saturday overnight stay. Staff very friendly. Room comfortable but a bit warm during the heat wave (but the fan helped). Wifi included. Didn't sample the breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

OK but not amazing
The location is great. The building itself requires maintenance - creaky floors, double glazing is not really good so noise from the street. Few things in the room were a bit broken on not properly working, nothing major but annoying. Breakfast is overpriced, had to pay extra for hot drink! Cooked breakfast came cold after I was waiting for it 20 min! Continental option is very very poor.

Good value and good location
I used the St George Hotel for a one night stay with my six yr old son. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Marylebone stn and the hotel were happy to look after my bags before check in and after check out which was a great help. The room was a good size with everything we needed. The decor and bathroom did look a little tired but it was all clean. I did have some concerns as we were put in room 2 which as on the ground floor by reception however window was out on to a secure courtyard and i wasn't woken by any noise from reception till 7.30 am. Will definitely use again when stopping in London . Reasonable safe friendly hotel in a good location.

Simple but comfy, clean, warm and well located.
We stayed at the St George Hotel for 5 nights in March. It’s a simple hotel with basic amenities but really all you need - a comfortable bed in a clean, warm room. The staff are lovely. Great location, Gloucester Place runs parallel to Baker Street which has plenty of great eating places and close to the Marylebone High Street if you’re keen for a good shop. 10 minutes walk to Baker St tube and buses everywhere. Will definitely stay again next time we visit London!
