Unfortunately the interior was shabby and the lobby reminiscent of a student hostel, with stale odour. Pillows and towels were missing from our room and the overhead light was burned out. We felt it was more of a 2-star level. However, the staff tried very hard, and in talking to the very efficient desk gentleman, we discovered that the hotel had been sold some weeks before and was closing down the next week....which explains a lot. The exterior was inviting, so if the new owners refurbish the rooms and redesign the lobby, it could have great potential.
Noting wrong with this place it's just a place at a good price with bare essentials, I'd only use it if you just need a place to say as the rooms though clean have nothing about them. Only 10 mins from kings cross on tube to Tufnell station then a 10 min walk. Good for wireless festival.
The hotel has good value for the money, and has a big breakfast included. The staff were available most of the time and were friendly, and the area was safe and comfortable. Although I didn't expect my own bathroom, it was annoying and unhygienic that there was no wash basin in the toilet and that you had to go to your room to wash your hands!(could have been solved with alcohol cleaning gel or something). The room had a kettle which was nice, but the warm water did not always work for some reason. The windows had a little mould that could have been dealt with but since it was summer I could leave the windows open. The bed was ok. Nice with a TV. Since the building was a bit old, you could hear your neighbours walking in and out, and upstairs. The reception could have had more chairs/tables. Overall the stay was ok, and I felt safe.
Selected after original hotel was unable to accommodate at late notice. <10min walk from underground. 15min walk to Odeon cinema and some nice restaurants. 20min walk from Arsenal F.C. Friendly staff. Room was old and a little run down, in desperate need of redecorating. Bathroom was the worst - very poor condition. OK for a couple of nights stay max, for Arsenal e.g

Dated but decent
Nice and close to Camden where I was attending a concert.
Staff are really nice and the breakfast is ok and included in the price.
Hotel is dated and in need of redecorating but it was for a night, wasn't enough to worry about.
Brown sheets, dirty carpet, no milk, dirty mugs, brown stains of the wall, rubbish at entrance, squeaky floorboards, granted it was only £79 but we checked out after an hour and went home! If you stay here, drink lots and you wont remember it!

Great Value
Great B & B tucked into Tufnell Park. 5 minute walk to tube station. Easy access to London tourism and Camden. Rooms are basic and clean. No frills. Bed was smaller (I'm 6'3)... Shower temp regulation was difficult.. It was either boiling or stone cold. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. I would stay again.
Close to everywhere we wanted to see and good for O2 Forum. All hotel staff were very helpful and polite.

Wasnt bad value for money, but I will say the shower was aweful the water pressure was incredibly low I felt like it was just going to stop and the water was to hot even on the lowest setting
Upon arrival the hotel appeared to be a little run down and the room smelt of stale sweat. Asked for an extra pillow as you only get one flat one and was denied. Breakfast was good, but overall felt like this was overpriced.
The staff members were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is basic but excellent value for money. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby area. This hotel would be better if Wi-Fi was available in the bedrooms. I could not get the shower to be at a comfortable temperature.
Read the reviews! I chose this Bed and Breakfast because of its location and the low price; however, you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly, but the room was nothing to be desired. I had reserved a twin room, and to my surprise, there was not a bathroom included in the room. There is one toilet and one shower located in the hallway to be shared by all of the guests on the floor your room is located. Furthermore, you can feel every spring in the mattress when you finally decide to lay down onto your bed. Luckily that night, I consumed enough alcohol that I was able to just pass out and not care about each spring poking my kidneys. On the bright side, you are offered either a full English breakfast or a continental breakfast between 0700-0900. I chose the full English breakfast and it was a delight!
Cheap but (other than the staff) not too cheerful!
Reception staff - great!
Room was clean but "run down" - cabinet door hanging off hinges, toilet seat chipped, wires showing above door, room needed a lick of paint etc.
View out of my window was of gardens filled with rubbish (hasten to say this was not the fault of the hotel).
Unable to sleep all night due to a repetitive drone from somewhere (where from I know not; however I do know it was not the bathroom extractor fan in my room) - perhaps I was just unlucky on my one night stay.
Shower was unusable in the morning - no water pressure and the toilet was still continuing to fill up when I left.
Mentioned the above to reception staff in the morning - to give them credit they were very apologetic and said they would look into the issues (of course I don't know what has happened since).
Didn't bother with the breakfast so unable to comment.
5 minute walk to the tube was useful if you want to travel elsewhere.
Out dated, beds untidy, mould on ceiling, wall paper coming off from the walls, the smell was musty and of mould a view of a concrete wall and shared bathroom that was never stated when booked.no parking atal.checked in then straight back out!!

Christmas night
We just needed a comfortable bed for the night in a clean, quiet hotel with no frills, but friendly staff. It met these criteria. If you're looking for luxury or smart decor go elsewhere. For the price in London it was okay.
Hotel is very run down - not pleasant to stay in at all. The room furniture, décor, carpets and shower were all very tatty. Coffee making facilities are done on the extra cheap - powdered milk substitute and cheap unbranded coffee sachets. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but I won't be staying again.
So-so budget hotel raised by neighbourhood & staff
Good location with choice of restaurants and bars.
Hotel was low-key, but in the "get what you pay for" category.
On the plus-side the service was very friendly, the breakfast good, and some rooms have free wi-fi (if close enough to reception).
On the down-side there was a slight musty smell in the room, and the shower didn't work properly (normal pressure & freezing, or dribble and cool).
