Not an Hotel
The deal was there, close to the airport. On this point it could not be closer. But it is not an hotel, it is a house transformed in a multi rooms. No external sign highlighting this is the place to go. I walked around looking for an Hotel sign, even a neighbour being asked was not able to tell me where was this hotel. The room itself was odd, noisy and the bathroom very small.

Feels very humble
To clarify, no this isn't a hotel, but it doesn't make it any less of a place to stay! We stayed in Room 1: fairly large room, easy to walk in, large bed and en suite. My one bone to pick with the room is the en suite - it's quite small and we had a problem with the lock, but the manager fixed it! The room was clean, felt humble and was very homey - oh and complimentary tea & shower soap! The manager was lovely, I had a insanely heavy suitcase and he helped me up the staircase upon arrival. He also gave us fully printed receipts of any money given to him. This is an ideal place to stay if you are wanting the airport, however we stayed for London MCM and by cab it was about 10 minutes away, still not bad!! We had a fun weekend and the hostel made it all happen, hope to stay again in future!

Not a hotel
Terrible. It's not a hotel, just a house where all the rooms appear to be letting rooms. Our 'deluxe' room was so small I had to walk sideways around the bed. There was a shower cubicle and sink in a cupboard in the corner of the room but the toilet was at the other end of the landing, right next to the door for another bedroom - not very private! We didn't use the shower. It was filthy with soap scum and hair stuck to the glass. The radiator was permanently on and it was stiflingly hot. Luckily we only needed somewhere to sleep for one night as we were attending a show at the O2, and weren't in the room any longer than needed. On the upside, it's perfectly located right next to a DLR stop, about 15 mins away from the O2. Sheets and towels were clean. But I definitely wouldn't stay again or recommend to anyone else.

Accommodation several metres from City Airport.
This accommodation was not what I expected; the 'hotel' is a converted house so describing it as a hotel is a bit far fetched. It is a B&B without breakfast facilities - well actually with only tea making facilities. I had expected a proper hotel - especially as a big chain charges the same price (unfortunately full on the night in question) so this was over priced for what was on offer. On the positive side it was clean and the owner was polite.

Dont expect the Ritz but this simple clean room is just 85 yards from the airport entrance so you see paying for that .convenience

This is not a hotel or B&B, it's someone's house!
This is an awful place! Not a hotel, not a B&B. No sign on the end terrace house to say it is the Metro CityAirport 'Hotel'. It's just the end terrace house in a dodgy area by City's Airport. No reception, no communal area etc. Door locked on our arrival and we had to wait for a guy (who had clearly just been woken up by us!) to cone and open the door. Clearly they have just converted their multiple occupancy property to a 'hotel'. We stay in hotels.com places all the time, this was unbelievably bad and should certainly not be advertised by hotels.com. Room was cold, bathroom was literally a cupboard that we had to edge around the loo. Shower was tepid at best and 'bathroom' was freezing. Don't stay here!

It's not a Hotel !
It is scandalous that this is listed under "Hotels" It looks like a dingy end of terrace guest house, its sole saving grace being proximity to City Airport. No reception, bar, eating facilities whatsoever, just a room in a house. I was in a hurry when I booked so maybe should have investigated further, but at nearly £200 for the night I expected something half decent, and a hotel with facilities and staff. Was locked out for nearly 15 mins at about 9pm - the guy I called from the guest house didn't have a key so said someone was driving round to let me in! In the end another guest opened the door. Only place I could get something to eat was at City Airport. Also had to call same guy to find out how to switch the light off at night, found out the switch was outside the room, in the hallway. My room had a separate bathroom/kitchen part, with a back door, where the guy who met me left by, so with 2 access doors, I had to make sure the back was locked as well as the front. Overall state of the room poor, considering the cost. I wasn't looking for luxury but to be honest I couldn't wait to leave so I didn't take any pictures. Seriously, this cannot stay under the heading "hotels" when people are putting in a search - I wish to have the full cost refunded as this is nothing like a hotel. Expedia has to act now and remove it from the list of hotels.

This place I would not call a hotel it was disappointing that I was made to believe this as a hotel. No name on the building and very difficult to find. However, it is very close to the city airport only 5 minute walk. I would not stay there again.

Is this an hotel
The ad on the Expedia web site is misleading and dishonest. This is not an hotel or motel but an end of terrace house "converted"for use as paying guest accommodation. The "conversion"is misconceived as he premises are inappropriate. The place is a fire trap and should not be allowed to operate There is no proper reception. There was no one in attendance when we arrived after a long trip from Australia. Put into one phrase this is a disgrace.

Great location, but ultra functional
I was charged on arrival despite showing the staff member email confirmation saying that I'd paid in full. I will stay here again, the proximity to City Airport is brilliant, though it is essentially a room in a guest house. Do not expect hotel service in any way!

Worst hotel ever.
The bed was clean and comfortable. The wooden floor was noisy, the ensuite was a joke. Very narrow, sink falling off the wall, and ceiling above shower was aweful as there must have been a leak from the room above. The other guests were extremely noisy, and at 11.30 pm we had to go outside our room and shout at them to tell them to be quiet. It took at least 5 mins to get the door answered, and eventually a guest let us in as the owner did not seem bothered. For what we got, the room was grossly overpriced. The instant coffee was solid in its jar. Steer clear of this hotel.

This is NOT a hotel
Please note this is a converted terrace house in East London, with individual rooms converted to guest bedrooms. The door to my bedroom did not appear to be of a fire door standard. The signage outside the entrance on reads 64 Wythes Road and I suspect many people walk past doubting their GoogleMaps directions looking for the "hotel". My window pane in bedroom was cracked, the curtain pole almost off the wall at one end, the shower leaked - superficially the bedroom looked well appointed but soon thereafter you noticed the finish was dreadful.

comfortable room in a very convenient place for airport and visiting the excel which was the sole purpose of my visit. very good spot for the short stop where only a room is needed. it is a small guesthouse and the outside is very deceptive and not what was expected.

Not good
I booked this room for my boss as he was flying from City Airport the next morning. Unfortunately he walked around for an hour without being able to find it as he was looking for a hotel. He was very disappointed to find that it was in fact a house in a residential street, in a very rough looking area. He won't be back!

Not bad for an overnight, especially for the price
The room was small, two people would possibly have been cramped, but if all you want is a place to nap before flying out, or overnighting before moving on somewhere else it was great. The hotel has managed to pack a fair amount into the available space and the bed was comfortable to sleep on. It was very quiet considering it's proximity to London City Airport and the DLR. There were a few places in the room where the decoration could be touched up and there was a hole cut into the wall above the shower... it looks as if the owners were preparing to install an extractor fan, so it might not be there later. There was plenty of tea, coffee and sugar supplied, but no mention of where to get water to re-fill the kettle. The hotel itself is a converted house and the front door is not shown on google maps, so you may miss it if you're not expecting it. Considering the price of a night's stay here and the price of the nearest Travelodge, I think this is a bargain and it did exactly what I needed.
