Seamlessly incorporating Scandi-style minimalism, playful geometric colour palette and a touch of bohemian verve, this enchanting three-bedroom home offers spacious family living steps from Barnes Bridge, one of the major viewing points for the iconic annual Boat Race...
This relaxing riverside retreat certainly makes a splash in contemporary design terms from the moment you catch sight of the modern open-plan kitchen and dining area. Enriched by natural light that cascades through skylights and French doors, this convivial space is enlivened by colourful hexagonal floor tiles that intelligently contrast the off-white kitchen units. Fully equipped with all key amenities including two wine coolers, a double fridge and warming drawer, the capacious modern kitchen is expertly set up for experimental chefs with a chic kitchen island taking centre stage. Fitness fanatics are free to pay penance for any overindulgence in the adjoining gym room. With yoga and exercise equipment available for use, you can seize the day with a Peloton bike workout or core balance exercises in a refined space rich in accents of navy blue and illuminated by an artistic pendant light.
Exuding eclectic charm with its vintage interiors, the reception room provides a restful environment in which to unwind each evening; an inviting space for late-night readers with its relaxing armchairs, library and traditional fireplace. That air of tranquility remains intact in the principal bedroom, serenely styled in neutral tones and offering a super king-sized bed and spacious wardrobe. A tribute to Sweden with its notes of blue and yellow, subtle Scandi inflections bring an uplifting mood to the second double bedroom. Peacefully nestled on the top floor, the en-suite attic bedroom has a distinctly private feel and hosts a double sofa bed, desk and contemporary bathroom with a walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet. Soulful accent lighting and chic marble styles bring a vibrant modern finish to the main family bathroom, where you can freshen up in a vast walk-in shower.
Finally, expect the call of the barbecue to coax you into enjoying lazy afternoons of al fresco dining in the garden. It’s even located in a covered gazebo to ensure you don’t have to worry about the unpredictable British weather wreaking havoc with your best-laid plans...
