On the ground floor there is a double-size living space with traditional sitting room at the front with an imposing fireplace, wooden floors, American-style shutters and plenty of seating. This flows through to a second lounge area with comfortable sofas for family chill-out time in front of the TV.
The well-equipped spacious kitchen at the rear of the house provides a real hub for families and friends to eat together in the large dining space or gather around the island for drinks. Double doors lead out onto the leafy walled garden.
The five bedrooms are spread across the two upper floors. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, American-style shutters, a wardrobe and chest of drawers for guest use. There is an en-suite bathroom with overhead shower and hand-held attachment and bathtub.
Bedroom 2 is a perfect child’s room with a small bed and plenty of hanging space.
Bedroom 3 has a single bed, wardrobe and black-out curtains for a restful night’s sleep.
Bedroom 4 has a standard double bed, fireplace, black-out Roman blinds and a convenient desk area perfect for working from home or writing emails.
Bedroom 5 has two single beds which can easily be used as a double if needed.
These bedrooms are served by a newly-fitted modern family bathroom with overhead shower and bathtub.
On the top floor there is a laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board for the convenience of guests. Please note that the tumble dryer is currently unavailable and under repair, however there are multiple drying racks are available at the property.
The parking space is suitable for one small car.
The Location
The property is situated on one of Richmond’s most sought-after roads The Vineyard, lined with elegant Victorian family houses. With vast Richmond Park and a particularly scenic stretch of the River Thames running through it, Richmond balances city and country living with open green spaces and easy transport links into central London and all the attractions at South Kensington and Sloane Square.
Richmond offers a wide range of shops, from independent boutiques in cobbled lanes to leading High Street brands, along with a Whole Foods Market and large Waitrose. Richmond’s theatres and cinemas are all close by, as are a selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Bingham Riverside and the world-famous Ivy are particularly recommended.
Richmond train station provides a rapid overland service direct into London Waterloo and Clapham Junction, as well as the District line tube and overland to Stratford, via North London.
