We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in London, particularly near Camden, and this fit the bill perfectly. There's lots to see and do in the area, and it's across the street from the Underground - all very convenient!
The hotel itself is small, only a dozen rooms, which meant that the front desk staff got to know us. There is also a little cafe on the ground floor for breakfast in the morning, or coffee later in the day.
The room was a little cramped for two people and several days' worth of luggage. Of course, there was so much to do in the area that we didn't spend much time in the room. The shower was also a bit cramped. But the bathroom was nicely updated. And everything was clean.
Aside from the size of the room (which, given London, was not all that surprising), there were only two downsides. The first was that the hotel faces a popular pub. Usually, this wasn't too much of a problem, but occasionally the street noise got loud. The other problem was that we were there during an unusually warm September, and the room got a little hot. There was no good way to cool it, short of opening the windows, which is when that street noise became really apparent. But, the weather was just weird while we were there; it shouldn't be a problem most of the time.
All in all, it was a nice play to stay. No, it's not a luxury hotel in London. But for the price, it was perfect.
