Needed a place to stay for a short nights sleep. Knew the Astoria wasn’t 5 star… late check in was handled well (reception not 24 hours), room was clean.

I forgot my wallet and some personal items in the room and they gave it back to me. Real honest! I am very happy. We had a quadruple room it was fine, just the bathroom a little small. We stayed only one night

Mediocre hotel central London
Well located near Paddington station. Room was okay size. Beds had big sagging areas and sheets did not fit. Carpet on stairs was dirty

Quick business trip on a budget
My first impression was very good I was able to check in early which was great sky appreciated it was merger but I thought very fair value nice location huge English breakfast. Overall it was a nice stay

Cheap and relatively cheerful. No lift, steep stairs the higher you are. Had to check in and out a couple of doors down from actual hotel. Was ok for just the one night. Handy for Marylebone overground to Wembley.

Comfortable for an over nighter
Stayed one night as a place to sleep as coming to a theatre performance. So room was fine for what we needed it for. Clean and comfortable but quite tatty looking. Room was quiet. Staff polite but not particularly friendly. Good location 5 min from Paddington station so easy to get to theatre.

Absolutely filthy. The smallest room floors were sticky. Bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Bathroom was terrible all tiles cracked and broken. No holder thing for the shower so had to hold it to shower. Rats running around outside. 0/10 absolutely won’t ever be coming back

The hotel has very steep stairs and no lift the rooms are clean and comfortable but bathroom and shower very small staff very friendly

The room was laid out nice and we had a new travel cot supplied, but the mattress on my bed was very uncomfortable and there were dark hairs all over the bedding, the room was very hot, the fan didn’t have the front part on it and it was too noisy to leave the doors/windows open overnight, the net and the curtains didn't fit the windows/doors properly, so the light shined in all night. It was very difficult getting the pram up and downstairs and staff watched and didn't offer to help, they did help with taking our luggage to be stored though. Nice to have fruit and a water dispenser in reception. The hotel does need a spruce up though.

Best value for money
Quad room with bathroom, view to the green and nice street. Clean and fune, more wardrobe or hooks needed. Coffee/tea station incl. Cookies. Free wifi in room. Television all working. Staff friendly and serviceminded. Breakfast better than expected both bacon, egg, sausage, beans,toast, cheese.... We had a fantastic stay, close to parks and shops. Have visited many hotels in this area over the years, this was the best.

You get what you pay for. The room was small but fine for 4 people as there was 4 twin beds. There was no fan so the windows needed to be kept open. Morning breakfast was good and the staff are very nice but they ran out of eggs one day. I would not stay again and would not recommend however it is fine for people on a budget

Stay was ok. Unable to open windows as the were paint sealed. Room was very stuffy/hot. Paint peeling off the walls. Toilet seat was loose, shower had soap scum in the grout. Breakfast was good overall.

Imposible to climb stairs to the top, most terrible and disgusting breakfast I cannot express how much I encourage you to spend a few more pounds to stay on a decent place. This was not that. And it was to late for me to change. Staff chase me for payment on top of that before my check out time like if I was going to run away. Awful experience
