1 Bed Victorian flat In Fitzrovia//Oxford St/Covent Garden a short walk away

A beautiful1 bedroom in the heart of Fitzrovia, Central London. The street is free of any traffic allowing our guests to enjoy a quiet relaxing stay in the middle of London!

Arranged over the first floor of a well maintained Victorian building in the heart of fashionable Fitzrovia, this beautiful large one bedroom flat offers bright, modern interiors/whilst keeping its period charm.

The flat comes fully equipped to make your stay in Central London most enjoyable. No corners are cut on towels or linens/and there are plenty spare for those who don't wish to wash and dry on holiday.

Apartment Features: We're happy to arrange our cleaner to come in if this is requested.

The living room has a flat LCD TV and DVD player with a selection of DVD's to watch during your stay. .

The flat was fully refurbished less than a year ago and features solid oak flooring throughout, provencial stonework in the bathroom and integrated kitchen appliances. There's a fridge/freezer, hob and plenty of pots and pans for those wishing to cook meals at home. A water filter is also supplied. There's a filter coffee maker, a French Press There's an excellent choice of shops that sell fresh ground coffee.
We Just added a new sofa bed.

The kitchen has all mod cons and also a selection of cookery books should you wish to experiment at home.

There's a selection of grocery shops within a five minute walk of the flat, Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer, Tesco and Waitrose will have all you need for your stay.

There's the independent Villandry on Great Portland St for the more special culinary treat...and also the simply fantastic La Fromagerie for cheese. This is one of the best cheese shops in London.

The bathroom has very good water pressure and constant hot water ,so there will be no worries for larger groups staying at the flat. The flat benefits from independent central heating for the somewhat cold British winters.

The bedroom has a wardrobe with hanging space and suitcases can easily be put to the side.

Cleveland Street is home to a number of local shops, cafe's and restaurants and is well positioned close to Charlotte Street and Oxford Street.

Fitzrovia is a neighbourhood in central London, near London's West End lying partly in the London Borough of Camden (in the east) and partly in the City of Westminster (in the west); and situated between Marylebone and Bloomsbury and north of Soho.

More about Fitzrovia: This historically bohemian area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud, Bob Dylan played one of his first shows just down the road.

A few minutes away is Fitzroy Sq...a piece of Georgian design that has aged beautifully.A few more blocks away and one can view the architecture of Nash and his row of terrace houses near Regents Park.

For those traveling with young children a visit to Pollocks Toy Museum on nearby Whitfield St will be sure to delight them. The perfect place to pick up gifts for those back home! I have to admit even I go in there and I'm always in awe of the treasures of childhoods past that they have on display.Next door is their theatre print shop...again...well worth a visit. Whilst on the subject of theatre there's the Theatre Bookshop on Conway St with its numerous books on all theatre related matters.

The number of restaurants on nearby Charlotte St really is amazing. There's something to cater to every taste and budget! We can assure you that you'll love this street. This street is less than 5 minutes from the flat.

The London Zoo is nearby and this should delight all ages.

The nearby shopping on Oxford St will be a real treat for people who love to shop until they drop. From high end shops to the two very large budget Primarks, one will find something to take back home with them. After a morning strolling aroud the West End a special treat of a full English Afternnoon Tea will sure to become a special memory of your time in London. Yes, it can be somewhat expensive but it should be something that should be tried if you have the time and budget. The Ritz is by far the best in London. The Savoy, The Dorchester,Browns, and Clariddge's are all expensive but worth it.The National Portrait Gallery,The Wallace Collection and the Langham are more affordable and equally as good. Fortnum and Mason on nearby Picacadilly is also worth it. Their food hall is amazing/and even if you don't have time for the full Afternoon Tea you could buy some tea to take back with you. The tin cans are simply stunning in design.A great gift for those back home.

Nice Flat in a Great Location
This is a pleasant flat from which to explore a vibrant part of the city. The host's amiable associate was there to let us in and explain everything about the property, which, although a bit different than the usual lockbox experience, was much appreciated. All told, this property was a good value, and we would certainly stay here again. Recommended.

Perfect Combination of Location and Comfort
This comfortable, well equipped and quiet flat was the perfect place for our visit to London. We were warmly welcomed by Charlene and Jon, who gave us excellent recommendations. Our communication with James was also great. Although surrounded by good public transport options, we could easily walk to everywhere we wanted to visit.

Cute 1 bedroom apt.
The apartment had everything necessary for a stay in London. the apartment had a large bed in the bedroom and a couch and chair that also made into beds. The washer and dryer were very handy. The apartment has restaurants and pubs all around it. There were also two grocery stores very close. The tube stations were within a few minutes walk making it easy to get all around London. James was wonderful to work with. He immediately responded to any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again when I visit London!

Very nice stay in Fitzrovia
Very cozy VRBO centrally located in London with easy access to the British museum and many others. The VRBO is small but comfortable and just the right size for 2 but can sleep up to 4. The managers are just across the hall and very helpful. Fully equipped small kitchen and washer and dryer. Many restaurants and stores nearby. Easy access to underground stations also. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Great quiet location with steep stairs in unkept entrance way
Apartment was efficient with lots of light as windows in front and back. Excellent wifi, kitchen with basic supplies and bed, but limited closets so would not want to stay for more than a few days. Place needs some TLC as furniture is old and cheap, curtain ripper at top, door edge around handle dirty, chipped paint here and there. All this is cosmetic and easily fixed but clearly owner has lost interest. Otherwise fully functional and great location. Good grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Entrance way is narrow windowless passage with very steep small-step stairs that also spiral up to the apartment. It is difficult to get large suitcase through this area. Information book has not been updated for 5 years so out of date in terms of restaurants, etc and does not have basic information like a map of the local area, instructions for stove, coffee machine, keys (front door has double locks with separate keys), shower, etc.

Great location in Fitzrovia!
This flat was in a perfect location to visit museums, the theatre district, etc. with so many good restaurant choices! We were just a few short blocks from 3 tube stations – so very easy to get around. Plus, we walked 8-9 miles every day as the neighborhood is adjacent to SoHo so very pleasant treks through these London neighborhoods. The flat is not spacious – but perfect for the two of us, as we were always on the go.

Perfect
We had a wonderful time in London staying at this charming apartment. We had no trouble whatsoever with the few stairs which were part of the character of the building. There was plenty of room and we had everything we needed to feel at home. Tube stations were just a short walk away and we enjoyed the walk to the theatre district to see Les Mis. Our host James was very helpful and Jon, whom we met at check-in, was gracious and accommodating. Thank you!

We stayed three nights in this Fitzrovia property and couldn't have been happier! It's within walking distance to a great shopping area and there are fantastic restaurants within a five minute walk. Fully-equipped cozy stay at perfect location
So nice, we stayed there twice! Literally, after checking out, we went to a second VRBO and were dissatisfied, and really just wanted to come right back to this place. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place enough. Communication with the owner was seamless and expeditious and check-in/out was easy. The place itself is cozy, but has everything you’d need for an extended stay— nice little kitchen with all the essentials, a bedroom that’s pretty spacious (for a London flat, anyways), and a nice sitting area. The WiFi was strong enough for me to conduct all of my virtual work meetings for 2 weeks. The only caveat I’ll give is that if a prospective guest is larger-than-average in size (either by height or width), I’d note that there are a couple spaces that might be tight— the bedroom ceiling is somewhat low, and the shower is pretty compact. It worked just fine for my husband and I though. The location is unbeatable— a very quick walk to SoHo, Regent Street, Regent Park, and access you main Underground metro lines. Also, lots of bike-share docks nearby. Would absolutely come back to this place for future trips and would send family there.

Good property in great neighbourhood
Recently stayed 4 nights at this property. We were late arriving but John who showed us round could not have been nicer. Flat was well equipped and in a lovely quiet part of London with tubes nearby to take you everywhere and was within easy walking distance of Oxford Street, Covent Garden, theatres etc. Also good selection of restaurants nearby. The little Greek restaurant on Cleveland Street was lovely and I would recommend it. I would definitely book this property again if I returned to London.

Great location for a London visit...
This was a lovely location for a London visit. The neighbor was lively and it was easy to walk to museums or the tube. The apartment is great for two people and the upstairs neighbors were very helpful . The local pub The King and Queen is a treat. We went there two nights. Also we would highly recommend the local Turkish restaurant on the corner and the southern Indian restaurant down the block on your way to The King and Queen.

Carolina Panthers take the win in London!
We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay in this flat. We were able to check in early to drop off our bags and were given names of lots of local pubs/restaurants to visit during our stay. We took her advice and started at The Lore of the Land and actually saw and spoke to Guy Richie, the owner! We were in walking distance of everywhere that we wanted to see. We saw Come From Away, partied with the Panthers Roaring Riot fans, went to the NFL game, Hard Rock Hotel, Big Red bus tour and so much more. The flat was on top of a sports bar so we never had a shortage of food & fun. Great memories were made! Would go back to this location again when our team plays in London!
