"We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. The room had a small portable fan which we turned on at night: We would have preferred to leave the patio doors open, to experience the ocean breeze but due to mosquitos we had to keep the doors closed. The room was unpleasantly warm. That said: we were in Blokhus during the warmest week of the year, the weather and the beach was amazing ☀️ "

"Bearing in mind that it was a Youth Hostel and not a hotel, we were very happy with our accomodation. The room was large and had a fridge which was a big plus for us. The beds were comfortable and everything in the en-suite bathroom worked well. The only downside was a lack of electrical sockets - there were two in the room and the fridge had to be plugged into one of them but we managed by charging a power bank when we were out and using that to charge mobile phones. There was plenty of parking and the area around the hostel was nice and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again."

"To call this a hotel is a stretch, its more like a guesthouse. No reception on arrival, even though published as open to 6pm (which says it all!!). Restaurant not open on arrival Sunday evening, which I was awre of, but to be told Monday evening there is only one choice of meal......this is not a Restaurant! Like others, I think this is an over priced 'guesthouse' for what it offers, even the breakfast was very basic for the overall cost. The only positive comment I could make is that there was a fan in the room to provide some cooling."

"Loved everything about the accommodation, going outside to two out of three bedrooms was not an issue. However when I went to do a spot clean in the middle of holiday found the hoover. Brush, dustpan all filthy and needed to be cleaned before use. When I tried to communicate this with Novalso they did not understand what I was trying to say and became very rude we cleaned the stuff ourself and with very limited cleaning supplies did the final clean but this was not the end to the holiday I would have liked."

"Again we were given the worst room in the hotel. I believe that happens when you book through a 3rd party site. Our room was next to the stairs and the large banquet space where a party was going on."
