Perfect spot!
We had an amazing time here. The hot tub fit our whole family of 6, we had more than enough space to fit all of us and our stuff. The board games were a nice touch even though we had brought our own. The scenery was gorgeous and the game space was perfect for the kids and all of us. The state park nearby was gorgeous too!

Needs a deep clean...
This place seemed to be relatively newly updated- sort of. It felt very much like someone trying to make a quick buck rather than a business opportunity and investment property. For example, the "bedframes" were all hand made and unsanded/stained/finished. The sheets were a Walmart $5 special, so were the cushions on the deck chairs. There were many items at the house that made us wonder if these people just grabbed a bunch of random furniture/housewares and said- "Sure! Throw it in the rental house!" Broken plastic adirondack chairs by the fire pit, etc etc. Just like duct taping everything together just to get by. Hopefully I have enough examples that you get what I'm saying. The cleanliness was definitely not good. Admittedly, we probably keep a cleaner home than many young families. But- we do have kids and are still human! There were cobwebs ON THE WALLS. Not just one web or one wall. There was toilet paper "dust" caked onto the TP holder and stuck to much of the wall behind the toilet. Door opening/closing is not quiet on most doors- moms, I know this matters! Floors are also not quiet. No fault of the owners but I know that can matter for some with young, napping kids. 1 of the 3 bedrooms had to use a doorstop to keep the door closed. House definitely has some leveling issues but- probably not the owner's fault either. Overall, would we be back? Probably not. We survived & still enjoyed ourselves but, we paid enough to stay here that we definitely expected better.

Cute House
The house was nice, clean and comfortable. I was surprised it was so close to a busy road and cemetery, I would not allow my kids to play outside alone. Easy check in, great location to attractions. We needed somewhere to sleep and cook between attractions and it was perfect for that.

Great and simple cabin
Everything was great there. Only complaint is there were a ton of lady bugs on ceiling and kitchen we noticed on our second last night after a long day of hiking. The cabin is right next to a small church and old cemetery and it was nice and quiet neighborhood. Hot tub, fire pit, and spacious kitchen.

Great property
We stayed over the weekend with some family and the space was great for all of us. My favorite aspect was the room that had a bed and a bunk bed so our son was able to have his own bed instead of a blow up mattress. It was clean and beautiful. The owner was great in his communication and checking on us. The only complaints I had was that the couches were broken or at least the one so it gives me anxiety that someone will try to charge us for that even though it was like that when we arrived and the same with two stains on the carpet. However, I took photos when we arrived to ease my anxiety. Other than that backing out of the driveway is awful which is not the owners fault but something to think about if you have kids I wouldn't let them outside to play in the front either.

Nice Properthy, but Significant Water Issues
The house was recently remodeled and was very attractive and clean. Beds were comfortable. Twin bunk bed is probably best for youth. There are four stools for counter eating and an outdoor picnic table. The living room has two recliner couches and a large screen tv. There was a picture leaning against the wall, so we assume more decorating will happen as it is pretty basic right now. We had to use a button on the back of the TV to toggle through the menu and choices. (Owner has been notified of issue with remote.) No extra hospitality items such as coffee or salt/pepper were available and no community activities, restaurant recommendations or other information was provided in unit, perhaps due to newness of property. Unfortunately, we encountered multiple issues with the water throughout the weekend ranging from highly restricted flow (trickle) to dark orange/brown sludge coming from the tap. The owner made several attempts to fix the situation and indicated that he planned to have a plumber assess the property after we left and that he suspected he would need to get a water softener to deal with high iron levels. He was unconcerned with the water being used for showers or dish washing, and told us to use bottled drinking water. At times the water was so brown you couldn't see the bottom of the toilet bowl (yuck!). While the owner did try to resolve the issues, we simply cannot give a positive review given the inability to shower and drink water over our stay and the constant need to communicate back and forth with the owner on our vacation. We acknowledge that we were the first renters and the property was new to the owner, but believe that the water issue should have been identified and resolved prior to listing the property as available and we are disturbed that the owner’s response was to argue that the water was usable. We would caution renters to anticipate the need for bringing bottled drinking water and inquire about the clarity of water for cooking, showering, dish washing, etc. prior to booking.
