A lovely house with a beautiful garden in a great area
Our family really enjoyed our week at the house. The house itself is really charming, simple but very nicely decorated and surrounded by greenery, an orchard and lovely trees. Our children spent hours on the swing under the chestnut tree, lolling about on the hammock and racing around enjoying the space. For us as city dwellers, it was a really nice natural environment (hedgehogs, hares and deer spotted outside the house).
The area is lovely. There is a great walk through the woods to the beautiful and unspoilt white sandy beach, which is virtually empty but windy, as it's on a point.
There is a fantastic and more sheltered beach on a nature reserve further north at Nabackshusen where we spent a few afternoons, where there is also a nice but very popular walk up the hill if the weather not nice enough for the beach.
Ystad is a very pretty town and good for a rainy day and stocking up on food and driving around the coast stopping at the pretty fishing villages is nice. There is mini golf to keep the children happy down the road and there are wildflowers everywhere.
All in all, we would thoroughly recommend Johanna's house.
