Cruachan Self Catering Holiday Home is located near the North Coast 500 (NC 500), just over 2 km (1 mile) from the village of Lochinver along the single track road towards Inverkirkaig. Beautiful views, clean fresh air and peaceful surroundings allow you to recharge from a hectic life. During those days weather restricts access to the breathtaking surroundings there is a 40” smart tv with Netflix availability, Freesat or use the connected dvd player and choose from our selection of dvd’s. You can also use your phone or tablet to cast your own video service to the wifi connected Chrome cast device.

Within walkable distance from the house you will find incredible beauty! Whether hiking the Culag Woods, River Inver and Glencanisp circuit, Inverkirkaig falls or Achmelvic beach you will be blown away by the beauty of the area.

SURROUNDED BY WILDLIFE
With some of the most diverse bird life in the UK, this area is an excellent location for avid bird watchers. Others may be seeking a glimpse of rare species of wildlife like red deer. And keep an eye out for sightings of dolphins, seals and porpoises as you walk along the coast.

In some ways a holiday spent at Cruachan Holiday Home feels as if you have gone back to a simpler time. Keep toasty with the wood fire stove while reading a good book. Throw feed out and watch the different species of birds enjoy a meal from the large viewing windows in the main living area. Take a walk out of the back gate for a fantastic view of the ocean while enjoying the sounds of the wind. An amazing place!
Cruachan is in a beautiful location. The house itself is very spacious, beautifully furnished, with light open space. The bathroom has a lovely big bath, perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking or exploring. Plus a good shower. Another bathroom has a power shower. The bedrooms are comfortable with good beds. The kitchen is great - absolutely everything you need. Wildlife all around ... We put bird food out, and within an hour all sorts of wonderful birds were coming to the feeders. A perfect place for a peaceful getaway. Nearby Lochinver has many good places with great food.

Home from home in stunning location
A true home from home. Stunning setting (saw deer and pine marten), loads of space to spread out, great WiFi & TVs (a real hit with my son especially during the Euros), very comfy and warm and well equipped with everything we needed. The area is just magical with superb walks all around. Recommend the pie shop! Definitely want to return.

Beautiful Place
This property was perfect for the four of us, two retired couples. We were there for 3 nights...one of the days during a heavy wind storm. It was a great place to ride out and watch the storm. It was a good starting point for touring the area, and the house itself is well appointed. You do, of course, need a car as there is not public transportation.

A piece of highland heaven
Lovely comfortable and cozy house about a mile south of Lochinver. Well equipped and furnished. We will definitely consider going back again for our next trip. A big thank you to the owner/s - we loved it.

Superb holiday
Hello - we had a wonderful time in your beautiful house. The house is so comfortable, and so well-equipped. A true chef's kitchen! We very much appreciated all the little extras - we arrived late and tired after a flat tyre en route, so it was so nice just to come and be able to relax. Thanks too to Chantelle for her help in connecting us to a local garage to help fix the tyre. My 88-year old mother was with us, and the house is very comfortable and accessible for an elderly person. We will recommend you to everyone, and hope to be back. All the best, Fiona and Stan

Schönes geräumiges Haus in ruhiger Umgebung
Wir waren mit 5 Personen für 2 Wochen dort. Das Haus ist sehr groß und geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder mit WC sind vorhanden. Sehr schön ist der Wintergarten. Die Lage eignet sich gut für Wanderausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend schön, egal ob an der Küste oder im Landesinneren. Auto ist aufgrund der abgelegenen Lage notwendig. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert.
