"Check was easy; the apartment was upmarket with nice finishes, beds and TVs in each room and most importantly, clean. Unfortunately, we stayed in apartment 101, which was right on the road and very loud, so I don't recommend that room. "

"Loved the location... close to the train station... very helpful"

"This is student housing. We brought our own pillows from home, which I would recommend. The beds are small, but was fine for us because we were prepared for the size/situation based on other reviews. Bathroom is tiny. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay unless you pay extra. If you have accurate expectations you will enjoy your stay here- the staff was REALLY FRIENDLY and accommodating-- the actual room was as expected, because we were expecting a dorm room! :) "

"This property had amazing views and was really accessible. Able to walk to many shops and/or restaurants. There is paid parking not too far. Busses are alwaya going, though! "

"Great little apartment with all the amenities you could need. Was impressed by how large and well-stocked the kitchen was. Washer/dryer was great to have although you’ll need to buy your own detergent! Easy walk to plenty of pubs, restaurants, Old Town, Royal Mile, Princes St Gardens, Waverley station etc."

"The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 was there was strange smell in the hallway. Otherwise a nice place and right in the heart of Edinburgh. P.S. I think I lost my white Calia hoodie there. If you found it would you be able to return it?"

"Very conveniently located near the rail station and allowed walking to everywhere we wanted to visit. Bit of a challenge for people our age getting luggage up, as the lift started at the first floor and had to take bags up a long staircase from the street entrance (thankfully, the staircase was wide). "

"Hard to communicate with front desk. We have to send a request through email. This hotel is not wheelchair accessible and hallway is dark and hard to find the room. Its like a maze. Its very unique. Location is excellent. Staff are nice. The room is clean and huge. There’s a kitchen, laundry machine and fridge. "

"The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, especially the reception staff, the breakfast room staff and the evening doorman. The rooms are extremely clean and tastefully decorated .... and waking up to a view of the castle every morning was stunning."

Great place to stay.

"I have stayed here every year for 8 years now and totally love the hotel. The hotel is spotless clean, the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the disabled parking bays are not monitored, I have trouble walking but had to park the other side of the carpark because an ignorant person parked in disabled bay then took out his golf clubs leaving the car in the disabled parking bays for 2 days without mooving it with no disabled badge."

"It’s great for solo travellers like me. The location is the best part of this hotel as it is in the heart of the old town, which is just walk away from the train station and to other touristy places in Old Town such as the Edinburgh castle and St. Giles cathedral"
